Sometimes you can tell when I like getting the Photo with a particular Celebrity.  And then there's times you can really tell I'm starstruck outta my mind!  Check out this Photo I got with the amazing Allison Janney earlier today at one of her Press stops along with Leighton Meester and Hugh Laurie for The Oranges. A true Veteran and absolutely a versatile talent!

Unfortunately Meester couldn't stay too long and flew out of Toronto less than a day after arriving for her Saturday night Premiere at Winter Garden Theatre.  She did take time to acknowledge some Fans but due to time constraints couldn't individually greet them, leaving many Girls disappointed.

LEIGHTON MEESTER CONFIRMS TIFF 2011 VISIT

So it's confirmed! Gossip Girl Leighton Meester will be coming to Toronto for TIFF in September for her Film, The Oranges!  Meester (@itsmelighton) Tweets a Fan, @Miss_S_Liss a confirmation yesterday and like us, the Singer/Actress seems thrilled to visit our City.  She last came to Toronto for for Herbal Essences in August 2010.

Co-star Blake Lively likely will be here for her Film Hick during the Festival also considering she is the Film's Star. Perhaps they'll be lending each other a bit of support provided the timing is right?

MONTE CARLO - MOVIE REVIEW

Although it might go over the heads of Selena Gomez's main demographic of young Fans, The Family Stone Director Thomas Bezucha delivers a genuinely fun Girls' Night Out with Monte Carlo. Upon graduating from High School, Best Friends Grace (Gomez) and Emma (Katie Cassidy) at last set out for their long-awaited trip to Paris, when at the last moment Grace's Stepsister Maggie (Leighton Meester) is to join along. Matters are complicated when we learn of Grace and Maggie's strained past.

Soon after arriving in Paris, the Girls find themselves disappointed. One rainy night however, they cross paths with an Heiress named Cordelia Winthrop Scott (Gomez) who bears a striking resemblance to Grace. In a case of mistaken identity, Grace, Emma and Maggie find themselves swept-off to Monte Carlo on a glamorous adventure they never had bargained for with Grace being forced to fill the shoes of a spoiled and demanding Cordelia.

While pretending to be Cordelia, Grace is finds herself in possession of a magnificent Bulgari Necklace worth millions of dollars, to be auctioned-off in the name of under-privileged children. She finds herself falling for Theo (Pierre Boulanger) who works for the Charity, and he too falls for her thinking that she in fact is the Heiress. Meanwhile, Emma finds herself contemplating her relationship with impulsive Boyfriend Owen (Cory Monteith) who proposes to her before her trip without a ring. Also, Maggie loses herself in a passionate romance with Australian Tourist Riley (Luke Bracey) who she meets in a chance encounter on the trip.  How will love unfold for each of these three young ladies? And more pressingly, what will become of the three Girls when Cordelia uncovers that Grace has been impersonating her?

SELENA GOMEZ TO CO-HOST 2011 MMVAs

18 year-old Actress/Singer/Songwriter Selena Gomez was confirmed this morning by CTV as Co-Host of this year’s 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards. The timing is perfect as Gomez also will be promoting her new Film Monte Carlo (also starring Leighton Meester and Cory Monteith), in theatres Friday, July 1, 2011, before she embarks on her We Own the Night Tour with her band The Scene this Summer. Together they will be making a stop-off at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre on Tuesday August 23, 2011.

As has been the case in previous years, the Co-Host performs also, making Gomez the second confirmed performer at this year’s MMVAs – the first being none other than Lady Gaga.

The MMVAs will air on MuchMusic and FUSE live on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 9:00 PM EST.

PHOTOGRAPHER TERRY RICHARDSON IN TORONTO WITH LADY GAGA FOR "THE MONSTER BALL"

Famed Celebrity Photographer Terry Richardson arrived in Toronto today with Lady Gaga for her The Monster Ball Tour at Air Canada Centre.  Being the lone passenger aboard her Tour Bus to be dropped off at the front of their Hotel in Yorkville, the New York native was all smiles, posing with Gaga Fans for Photos and signing some Autographs for those who came prepared.  And I was one of the lucky who recognized him, getting a Photo together with Richardson.  And graciously he smiled for my Camera  - a great honour for me to photograph a Legend.

Earlier in the day, Richardson was seen on the Tarmac at Pearson International Airport, photographing Lady Gaga as she exited a private Gulfstream Jet.  They had flown in directly from Paris, where Gaga had made her Runway debut at a Thierry Mugler Fashion Show.

For those of you who need a refresher, the controversial Richardson had shot Gossip Girl's Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in a suggestive Rolling Stone Cover back in 2009 which saw them licking an Ice Cream Cone together.  And those gossip-inducing Photos of Lady Gaga seen in her famous Meat Dress.  Yes, that also is the work of Richardson.  Too amazing!

THE ROOMMATE - MOVIE REVIEW

What a mess. Christian E. Christiansen's The Roommate gets its inspiration from 1992's Single White Female, which was an edgy portrait of Obsession. Where this Film suffers its greatest downfall is its hopes of appealing to a Teen audience, shying away from risks which would have made it the terrifying Thriller it aspired to be.

Sara Matthews (Minka Kelly) is a Freshman College Student with aspirations in Fashion Design. All is well until she comes home one night to her room to find Rebecca (Leighton Meester) waiting on her. Eerily, they bear striking resemblances to one another. We learn that Sara once had an older Sister who passed away when she was nine years-old. Before long, we begin noticing Rebecca's controlling ways with her incessantly demanding to be Sara's one and only Friend and replacement Sister.

Crazy Rebecca stalks Sara's Friend Tracy (Alyson Michalka) in the Shower, pushing her face-first to the floor, threatening her life should she not stay away from her. Rebecca also has Phone Sex with Sara's Ex-Boyfriend Jason (Matt Lanter) whilst impersonating Sara. In addition to this, she seduces Sara's Professor (Billy Zane), effectively sabotaging his career after learning that he has made sexual advances on Sara. More jaw-dropping, we see Rebecca visiting a Lesbian Club, engaging in a sexy tryst with one of Sara's Best Friends Irene (Danneel Harris).  And if you think Rebecca is totally obsessed, wait till you see how she feels about Stephen (Cam Gigandet), the current Boyfriend of Sara.

"THE ROOMMATE" HOLDS STALKERS AT BAY ATOP THE BOX OFFICE

I don't believe my eyes! A James Cameron Movie not to top the Box Office? Sony Screen Gems, which seems to be specializing in films of the Camp genre ruled the Box Office on a tepid weekend with Thriller, The Roommate. Drawing parallels to that of 1992 Thriller Single White Female, the Film starring Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly brought in $15.6 million in its debut. Review to follow later today.

Another Thriller, Sanctum, placed second with $9.2 million for Universal Pictures. Produced by Avatar Director James Cameron, the Film was made for a $30 million budget. Critics however didn't budge this time, with the Film earning a negative 29% rating on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer.

No Strings Attached still continues to perform well in its third week with $8.4 million for Paramount. To date it has pulled in $51.8 million domestically - not bad considering it was made for $25 million.

The King's Speech lands in fourth with $8.3 million, bringing its domestic tally to $84.1 million as its Oscar buzz reaches a feverish pitch for the Historical Drama from The Weinstein Co.

COUNTRY STRONG - MOVIE REVIEW

In what might more aptly be named Country Weak, Shana Feste-written and directed Musical Drama Country Strong falls short of expectations. Misleadingly advertised as something resembling a heart-warming story of fictitious Country singer Kelly Canter's (Gwyneth Paltrow) return to triumph from a battle with Depression and Alcoholism, the finished product is about as empty as its defeated Heroine's soul. There is little to root for here in Kelly as her character is written so thinly and one-dimensional that Paltrow's best efforts to bring her to life prove futile.

Country Strong follows Kelly after she suffers a Miscarriage from a fall on-stage while performing drunk in Houston, at five months pregnant. Managed by Husband James (Tim McGraw), her marriage is on-the-rocks with her having an obvious affair with hired-hand and aspiring Musician Beau (Garrett Hedlund). All the while, James takes beautiful and talented Beauty Queen Chiles (Leighton Meester) under his wing, threatening Kelly's place as his lover and Country Music's Darling also. Beau and Chiles follow the troubled singer on her ill-fated Tour one year later, realizing their own attraction to one another, as Kelly hopes to make amends for her disgraced Houston performance, all the while trying to overcome her own demons.

REVIEWS COME IN FOR "COUNTRY STRONG"

One of the Films I am most excited to see right now actually won’t be opening over the Holidays in these parts, but it opens today for the lucky people of Los Angeles and Nashville. Country Strong from Director/Screenwriter Shana Feste, stars Gwyneth Paltrow as an unlucky Country Singer with a few vices, on the comeback trail. Believe it or not, Feste has cited Britney Spears’ downward spiral a few years back as being the inspiration behind her Heroine, Kelly Canter (Paltrow).

Previewing its Soundtrack last night for the first time, I was rather impressed by Paltrow’s conviction on the four tracks in which she appears, like the rockin’ swagger of Shake That Thing and the Film’s title track. Garrett Hedlund from TRON: Legacy is convincingly Bluegrass with that lower Baritone register on his sole track Chances Are. Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester does a credible job too on her one track Words I Couldn’t Say, although there is no doubting who the real star is in Paltrow. It appears co-star Tim McGraw might have lent her a pointer or two.

Reviews are starting to come in for the Musical Drama and although mixed unsurprisingly with the most telling sign being its snubbing at last week's Golden Globe nominations in the Acting and Best Motion Picture categories, Variety Magazine’s Justin Chang praised it still.  Chang in a review just published last night says it is a “rare ensemble piece in which all four principals are not only compellingly drawn but handled with an astute sense of dramatic balance.”
