RACHEL BILSON IN TORONTO FOR MAGNUM ICE CREAM

Rachel Bilson in Toronto - May 2012

Although she often stays in the City for Leisure and Love (thanks to you, Hayden Christensen), rarely does she promote in the City. Rachel Bilson is known best for her work on Young Adult Drama Series The O.C., but her reason for stay actually this time was well… Ice Cream. Bilson is the new Face for Magnum Ice Cream, taking the reins from Ivanka Trump who visited Toronto last Spring at eight-months-pregnant to promote the Brand. Her Visit was timed perfectly during the Heatwave we’ve been experiencing this week.

Despite there being many surprise Celebrities visiting CityTV’s Breakfast Television with Dina Pugliese today for their annual Upfronts, a good number of Fans waited solely for a chance to meet Bilson. Despite being in a rush to her next stop at CTV’s The Marilyn Denis Show, Bilson noticed her Fans outside the window, making her way out to take a few Photos and sign a few Autographs. Bilson looked stunning in blue, tastefully revealing in all the proper spots.

The Actress recently received word that her Series Hart of Dixie has been renewed for a second season and locally it can be seen on CHCH. Meanwhile, Magnum Ice Cream Minis are available now at many Grocery Stores (and even Shoppers Drug Mart) around the City.

In case you haven’t seen Bilson’s TV Spot for Magnum, watch it below:

READER MEETS HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN & RACHEL BILSON IN TORONTO

Hayden Christensen, Eli & Rachel Bilson

My Readers are the best. Said it before and saying it again. Eli who was up at an upscale Shop at Don Mills x Lawrence earlier today, ran into none other than our v. own Hayden Christensen and his four-year - give or take a few months due to a brief hiatus - Girlfriend Rachel Bilson.

The lovely Couple are back in Christensen's Hometown where they met in 2007 filming Jumper.  Coincidentally, their Co-star Jamie Bell also was in-town this week promoting Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin. Another Reader Krista points out that they were seen shopping at Yorkdale's brand-new Topshop on Saturday too. Toronto, Center of the Universe!

Eli notes they were absolutely sweet, especially Christensen, out doing a bit of Holiday Shopping with a number of bags in-tow.  I love it when my Readers meet their Idols and surely we'll be seeing a lot more Celebs here over the Holidays. Keep sending in those spottings!

MERRY CELEB-MAS!

Ryan Gosling at TIFF 2010

Merry Christmas, Mavenati!   However you're spending the day, I hope it's special and that you're surrounded by those you love.  And that applies even if you don't observe the Holiday.

I just finished my Christmas shopping this afternoon, before heading off to see The Coen Brothers' True Grit and now am just typing with Billy nestled at my feet.  Tomorrow I'll be spending the day with Family and getting up to prepare some Sushi as part of our big Dinner up in the (905).  I also made a batch of Cake Pops too, which I'm sure they'll love....

If you're in and around Toronto, you'll be happy to know that the Celebrities are out-and-about in full force:

• As our beloved @ShinanGovani reports, Amy Poehler (Parks & Recreation, Saturday Night Live) and her Toronto-born and raised Husband Will Arnett (Arrested Development) were seen out in Yorkville earlier today at Starbucks.  I hope they know that it's not open tomorrow!
• While wrapping up my Shopping, I saw Ryan Gosling right in front of my Condo Building incognito in Sunglasses and a Cap, before heading west along Bloor St. possibly to do a bit of last-minute shopping?  Twitter reports also show that he was doing Groceries at Fortino's yesterday and took a Picture even with some Fans. Keep a look out!

EVA LONGORIA PARKER AT RALLY FOR KIDS IN TORONTO

Eva Longoria Parker at TIFF 2005 for Harsh Times

What was Eva Longoria Parker doing on the night of the season premiere of ABC's Desperate Housewives?  Girl was in Toronto!

Many don't realize that other than being a catty former Model-turned-Adulterer on the show, that lovely Longoria Parker actually does quite a bit of Fund Raising.  This weekend she was in the city making the most of her time as Honorary Co-Chair of the Rally for Kids, raising money for Cancer Research.  The event was also Chaired by actor Hayden Christensen who we saw at TIFF just over a week ago!

How Rally for Kids works is that donors who are willing to put forth a minimum $25k donation, get the chance to participate in a Charity Auto Race called the Cancer Scavenger Cup, in a fancy ride with a Celebrity of their choice.  The Celebrities navigate them through various Pit Stops around the city and this year they included the likes of Eric Roberts, Bai Ling (!!!!), Lou Gosset Jr., Nikki Blonsky, Mya, Robin Antin and many others.  Check out the full list here.  The Rally takes place at various destinations throughout North America.

Longoria Parker and Christensen hosted a Gala at the historic Royal York Hotel also last night, prior to heading to an After-party at the Canadian National Exhibition's night club Muzik.  She also appeared at a Workshop earlier today for Beauty Professionals and handed out bottles of her new fragrance Eva in addition to an appearance on Virgin Radio.

HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN AND THANDIE NEWTON AT PRESS CONFERENCE FOR VANISHING ON 7TH STREET

Hayden Christensen & Mr. Will-W.

Our v. own Hayden Christensen came out to promote his new thriller Vanishing on 7th Street from Director Brad Anderson.  The film is about a massive Blackout which causes people to start disappearing in the city and premiered at Ryerson Theatre last night. Upon arriving the Press Conference for the film, the handsome actor told Fans-in-waiting that he'd come out to greet them after.  He could also be seen slowly nursing a Tall-sized Coffee from Starbucks during breaks and finally came out after finishing work to take a generous round of photos and do autographs for everybody.  Although I did get an invite to his party Saturday at Ultra Supper Club, I had other engagements so it was wonderful meeting him today.

Thandie Newton & Mr. Will-W.

Christensen wasn't the only big star to show up though.  Thandie Newton arrived shortly after him and despite her PR telling everyone she won't be able to greet Fans, she went against his wishes and did it anyway.  Bad Girl.  Newton generously took photos and did autographs for anyone who asked; absolutely delightful and I love her even more now!
