NEW MUSIC: SARA BAREILLES - KING OF ANYTHING

So apparently Sara Bareilles’ new track King of Anything is about actor Zach Galifianakis and it seems like the girls are all crazy about him. She kids. Or maybe not. Even Ke$ha has professed her love for the funny and furry actor.

This new track is a perfect slice of Adult Contemporary-Pop and something about Bareilles smooth tone and the melodic sense of her self-taught piano lines makes her songs so accessible. Not quite as catchy as her movie trailered to-death Love Song, but still worthy of a spot on your iPod this summer.

Have a full listen of the track, the first single from her Kaleidoscope Heart album, to be released later this summer. The single will be on iTunes early June. Audio content owned by Sony Music.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bareilles and despite rumours that she’s very publicity shy, she was extremely warm and personable in person and I remember her even reaching over to give me a hug. Check out some of these photos I got of small showcase she did for about 30 of us on her last promotional stop in Toronto.
