Joe Manganiello in Toronto - June 2012

Although he's been a familiar face for the past decade on Television, Actor Joe Manganiello's has never been hotter than right now. Known best for his work as Werewolf Alcide Herveaux on HBO's True Blood, Manganiello arrived in Toronto yesterday afternoon to promote his second of two hotly-tipped Films in 2012, Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike.  

The Dramedy has him starring alongside Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer as a member of an all-male Dance Revue.  Magic Mike has him playing the Role of Big Dick Richie, a strong, quiet-type who wows the Ladies with a natural ability or two.   Manganiello's last Film What to Expect When You're Expecting had him starring opposite the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Cameron Diaz and Anna Kendrick.

After an appearance on MuchMusic's New.Music.Live last night, Manganiello was out and about doing Press earlier with Stopoffs at KISS 92.5 and Global Television's The Morning Show.  Cool and casual, he greeted Fans in his long-sleeve Jersey and Sunglasses.  Even the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Guy driving-by got a little starstruck and did a double-take!

A bit later today, I'll be chatting with the strapping Actor and his equally temperature-raising Co-Star Tatum about working on their exciting new Film, which hits theatres Friday, June 29, 2012 via Warner Bros.  Stay tuned.

GRANT BOWLER IN TORONTO FOR "DEFIANCE"

New Zealand-born Actor Grant Bowler is a familiar face to North Americans, having had high-profile stints on HBO's popular Series True Blood as Cooter and ABC's Ugly Betty as Connor Owens.  After playing various Supporting Roles, he is now set for the spotlight as the Leading Man on the SyFy Network's Defiance. The Sci-Fi/Fantasy Series currently is filming in Toronto for the next month under the direction of Scott Stewart, who helmed both 2011's Priest and Legion.

Defiance has Bowler starring as Jeb Nolan, a former Soldier who returns home to find his Hometown in ruins after a group of Aliens arrive on Earth, trying to claim it as their own after their Solar System is destroyed.  The Series also stars Julie Benz (Dexter, Desperate Housewives) and Tony Curran (The Adventures of Tintin, The Pillars of the Earth).

Bowler was incredibly kind to stop for a quick Photo and a chat with myself and a couple big Fans of Ugly Betty while off to a Sunday night Movie, although he and his Friend still had yet to decide what they were to see!

Fans of GCB also have something to be excited about as he appears later this season as Mason Massey in a brief Arc.

STEPHEN MOYER IN TORONTO FOR "THE BARRENS" | SIGNED PHOTO GIVEAWAY

Stephen Moyer in Toronto - October 2011

He certainly loves the Romance, so surely his lovely and talented Wife Anna Paquin had something awesome planned for his Birthday this Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, taking a small break from filming. True Blood star Stephen Moyer flew in from Los Angeles to Toronto this evening to continue filming Director Darren Lynn Bousman's (Saw II - IV) latest Horror, The Barrens. 

Production has been taking place mostly outside the City in Rockwood, as it centers around a Family visiting a Campground, encountering what they believe to be the legendary Jersey Devil. Filming wraps in about two weeks' time.

Surprisingly, Moyer was a bit self-conscious about his hair, stating "I look terrible!", but the only thing terrible about the handsome Brit was that he was terribly kind, agreeing to take Photos and sign a few Autographs ...including one which will go to a lucky Reader! Wouldn't you agree he looks pretty damn good after a five-hour flight and a weekend of celebrating?

Robert Pattinson and Alexander Skarsgård aren't the only Vampires to have graced our City in recent months!  True Blood Fans will be thrilled to know that Stephen Moyer, Bill on the hit HBO series, is slated to begin production on Horror, The Barrens v. soon.  Slated for production between September 26 through October 21, 2011 (subject to change), the Film will be helmed by Saw Director Darren Lynn Bousman who is active on Twitter here.

The Horror is about a Family which goes on a Camping Trip but are convinced they are being followed by a Monster named, The Jersey Devil.  Uh-oh.

Details to come, but we want us some Bill!  And maybe some Sookie (Moyer's real-life Wife, Anna Paquin) too...

Tom Felton in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Fan Expo Canada hits Toronto in just over a month. Will you be going? The Sci-Fi Expo in particular this year looks rather enticing with some great names added to the line-up of stars in attendance.

Scheduled this year are the likes of Tom Felton, Hayden Panettiere, Lee Majors, William Shatner, Eliza Dushku, Sam Trammell, Malcolm McDowell, Barbara Eden, Larry Hagman and more.

One-day Passes range from $25 to $40 depending on the day and the event takes place from August 25 to 28, 2011 at Metro  Toronto Convention Centre. Deluxe Passes are available at $75 apiece, allowing Fans unlimited access, excluding Special Ticket events.

TRUE BLOOD'S RYAN KWANTEN AT TIFF PREMIERE OF "GRIFF THE INVISIBLE"

HBO's True Blood scene stealer Ryan Kwanten stars in Leon Ford's Griff The Invisible, a Comedy about an Office Worker by day and Superhero by night, who falls in love a young Scientist.  The Australian film premiered at TIFF tonight, screening over at Scotiabank Theatre in a v. low-key affair.  Check out these shots I got of the handsome hunk greeting fans outside the theatre before heading in to watch the film with the audience. I might have even scored myself a new addition to The Mr. Will-W. Musuem of Signed Art!

TRUE BLOOD SEASON 3 DETAILS

Okay, I need to clarify that I'm not exactly jumping on this whole Twilight/Vampire bandwagon regardless how much my tastes might resemble that of a 13 year-old girl's, but I was recently turned on to HBO's True Blood after hearing so much about it.  I love Dark Comedy, so the show is up my alley and after finishing half of Season One, I'm hooked.  The dialogue is completely fearless and there is enough nudity, foul language, disses and sex to make me blush even and believe me, I can handle it!

Canadian Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse) is brilliant with her tongue-in-cheek wit and I adore foul-mouthed Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton) with that Costco Value Pack-sized chip on her shoulder.  Ryan Kwanten also, as Sookie's sex-crazed brother Jason is pure trashy hotness.

Alexander Skarsgård (Eric Northam) recently revealed that he filmed a male-on-male love scene which was very intense, and that episode will be in the forthcoming third season which premieres Sunday, June 13, 2010.  Above is a just-released promotional photo for the new season.  Gorgeousity.  Now that they've got my attention....  (Thanks Sue!)
