OFFICIAL "COSMOPOLIS" POSTER & FRENCH TEASER TRAILER

Official Artwork for Cosmopolis
Although we're still waiting on a North American release date for it, several overseas dates have been inked ranging from May to December 2012 throughout Europe and Australia.  This saddens me a bit as it means that Toronto won't be hosting its actual World Premiere at TIFF 2012, although there still is a possibility it may be presented still as a Gala here come September. Fingers crossed.

Above is the official Artwork for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, filmed in Toronto last Summer in what appears to be a Photo from his Photographer Daughter Caitlin, who was responsible for some of the first Stills which surfaced. With a French Teaser Trailer being released last week, the Film has the Director giving us what he does best - extreme violence and tons of edge.  I already am feeling some hints of his earlier work like Videodrome and Crash. This certainly isn't the same Robert Pattinson we saw in Twilight and Water for Elephants Nope.  Eric Packer has arrived!

One of the biggest shocks upon perusing the Poster in-detail is that Somolian-Canadian Singer K'Naan stars in the Film too. Will there be a Musical Sequence too?  I kid.

ROBERT PATTINSON GREETS FANS ON SET OF "COSMOPOLIS" AND FILMS GUN SCENE

Robert Pattinson greets Fans on set of Cosmopolis
Burning the midnight oil tonight on the set of David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, Robert Pattinson conserved his energies for an intense scene involving him firing a Gun.  With the Crew being extra cautious on-set this evening in purposefully blocking shots for those looking to take Photographs, opportunities were reduced to seeing Pattinson perform through gaps between shoulders of Crew Members ahead.

Those lucky Fans were patient enough to wait on Pattinson, were rewarded at the 4:15 AM Wrap Time with Autographs being signed generously and one lucky Fan, Deb, who runs both the Cosmopolis Film Blog and also the Twitter account CosmopolisFilm, was wished a Happy Birthday by Pattinson himself, with him taking a Photo with the Birthday Girl!

Despite various rumours floating about that Pattinson's Partner Kristen Stewart was present on-set today after Photos surfaced of her flying out of Los Angeles earlier in the week, these appear to have amounted to hearsay. If she was in fact present as some reports might suggest, she could well have slipped away discreetly before midnight as many watchful eyes were on Pattinson's Trailer during shooting.

Just like the first time I met him, he was just as wonderful today to Fans and it was a delight seeing Pattinson express his gratitude to his loyal supporters.

Watch a Clip I got of him interacting with Fans below:

DAVID CRONENBERG & CAITLIN CRONENBERG ON TORONTO SET OF "COSMOPOLIS"

David Cronenberg & Mr. Will-W.
Although everybody pretty much is excited about Robert Pattinson bring in Toronto - and rightfully so - for Cosmopolis, the real Star of it all for me is our v. own David Cronenberg.  The acclaimed and celebrated Director of Classics Videodrome, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises, Crash, The Dead Zone and one of my favourites The Fly, took time to hang-out with Fans despite being busy at work and focused while filming.  An honour. Truly starstruck, I had to tell him how proud I am of him as a Canadian Film Buff and he was gracious about it, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and posing for a Photo without hassle.  Cosmopolis is his 20th Feature Film.

It appears also his Daughter Caitlin is making quite a name for herself  as a Photographer.  In fact, she is the designated Stills Photographer for Cosmopolis.  She also has been Tweeting Set Photos generously from her Twitter account and to keep up-to-speed on that, you can follow her here.
