After a bit of a hiatus, Tobey Maguire is ready for his close-up again. It was just reported that the Oscar-nominated Actor has been cast in the role of a Reporter in Ang Lee's Adaptation of The Life of Pi
, a Canadian Award-winning novel by Yann Martel. The Author studied at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. As announced earlier, Maguire also is confirmed for a role in Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby 3-D.

As announced earlier, Maguire also is confirmed for a role in Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby 3-D.The Film will be about a 16 year-old Boy named Pi Patel who with Family leave India for a new life in Canada. They pack up their menagerie of Animals and trek the dangerous Waters on a Boat where they are stranded for 227 days in a fight to survive.
The Life of Pi is slated for a late 2012 release and most of its production will take place in India, not Canada unfortunately. Already with its pedigree though, I'd expect it to be a Key Contender in the Oscar race.
