KIM YU-NA TAKES THE GOLD WITH CAREER BEST

South Korea's Kim Yu-Na was just stunning in winning the Women's Long Program Figure Skating Competition at Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum tonight.  Coached by Olympic Men's Figure Skating Silver Medalist Brian Orser, Kim earned a career best score of 150.6, making it extremely difficult for any of her competition to steal her thunder.  Hopes were very high for the elven beauty and it is reported that she has pulled in an astounding $8 million (US) in sponsorship deals leading up to the 2010 Olympics.  Did I mention she's only 19 years old and Toronto-based?

Japan also was strongly represented by Mao Asada in second, who has the distinction of skating only the second ever Triple Axel ever by a woman.  Incredible.  The Asians are taking over.  Yes!
