"THE HUNGER GAMES" SETS BOX OFFICE RECORD WITH $155 MILLION OPENING: JOSH HUTCHERSON ROUNDS OUT TOP AND BOTTOM OF TOP 10

Still from The Hunger Games
We all predicted greatness, but this is amaze! The Hunger Games in its opening weekend has become the fourth highest opening weekend for a Film ever with $155 million from 4,137 theatres in North America. Also, according to Deadline, this sets a record for highest opening weekend ever for a non-sequel Film. To put it into perspective, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I in November 2011 earned $138.1 in its opening weekend. With stellar reviews (87% on Rotten Tomatoes), Moviegoers will be in "hunger" mode for a while by the looks of it and also international numbers have yet to come in still, but this is legendary.  Congratulations, Lionsgate and Alliance Films - well played.

Meanwhile, last week's Champ 21 Jump Street continues to perform above expectations in second in its second week with $21 million, undoubtedly aided by Moviegoers who couldn't get into sold-out The Hunger Games screenings, looking for an alternative choice.

In third is Dr. Seuss' The Lorax which is going strong in third in this its fourth week, with $14 million.  To date it has made a stellar $176 million domestically for Universal Pictures.

John Carter tallies in at number four, trailing distantly behind The Lorax with $5.3 million.  Although its North American numbers seem to be below par, internationally the Action-Fantasy has made $184 million thus far, hopefully on its way to helping Disney recoup some of that $250 million budget.  It's looking like this one might fare well in On-Demand, Home Video formats.

Opening in only 398 theatres is the Faith-themed October Baby with $1.8 million in eighth spot and rounding out the Top Ten is another Josh Hutcherson-starring Film, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in its seventh week of release with $1.4 million.

"NEW YEAR'S EVE" IS TOAST OF THE BOX OFFICE ON TEPID WEEKEND

Still from New Year's Eve
On a weak weekend at the Box Office, Warner Bros.' New Year's Eve takes the top spot with only $13.7million, a far cry from Director Garry Marshall's last Effort Valentine's Day, which brought-in $56 million in its debut back in 2010. The Rom-Com with an All-star Cast overall has been panned by Critics, but likely will have an impact into the Holidays and currently it is showing at 3,505 theatres in North America.

20th Century Fox's The Sitter starring Jonah Hill debuts in second this weekend with $10 million, also opening to negative reviews overall, although it didn't cost nearly as much to make as New Year's Eve.  Finally knocked-out of top spot is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 with $8 million this weekend, accounting for a North American total of $259 million in four weeks of release.

Disney's The Muppets is still going steady in fourth spot with $7.2 million in its third week.  In total it has earned $65.7 million, earning back already its $45 in Production costs.  Paramount Pictures' Hugo 3-D meanwhile is in sixth spot with $6 million, expanding to 2,608 theatres.

The Descendants continues to impress in seventh spot for Fox Searchlight, bringing in $4.3 million, showing in 876 theatres only and a total of $23.5 million in three weeks.  Universal Pictures' Tower Heist rounds out the Top Ten with $2.5 million in its sixth week of release.

"TWILIGHT" HOLDS ONTO #1 SPOT FOR THIRD WEEK

Still from Hugo 3-D
In a weak Box Office weekend, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 maintains a choke hold on Moviegoers with $16.9 million, bringing its total tally to $246.4 million in three weeks.  The Muppets from Disney meanwhile is kept at-bay in second with $11.2 million in this its second week of release, bringing its two week total in North America to $56.3 million.

Despite only showing in 1,740 theatres, Martin Scorcese's Hugo 3-D finds itself in third spot this weekend with $7.6 million, earning a total $25 million in two weeks for Paramount PicturesArthur Christmas finishes in fourth spot also with $7.3 million this weekend.

George Clooney's Oscar vehicle The Descendants continues to do well in sixth spot this weekend with $5.2 million from just 574 theatres. Meanwhile, Immortals is still hanging-on to the Top Ten with $4.2 million in eighth spot earning $75.4 million in its fourth week. Puss in Boots slips to tenth spot with $3 million for Paramount Pictures after a six-week run.

"TWILIGHT" BLINDS THE COMPETITION: "MUPPETS" SECOND AT BOX OFFICE ON U.S. THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

Still from Breaking Dawn Pt. 1
No real surprises here. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 holds-on to the top spot at the Box Office again in this its second week of release.  The Vampire Romance brought in $62.3 million over a five-day U.S. Thanksgiving Weekend for Summit Entertainment/eOne Films in North America.

Disney's The Muppets on any other weekend would've been on-top but by no means is it a disgrace to debut in second on a competitive weekend with $42 million. Praise has been unanimous for the revival of the Jim Henson Franchise, earning 98% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer.

Happy Feet Two earns $18 million over the five-day weekend for Warner Bros. slipping to third spot in its second week of release, just ahead of Arthur Christmas for Sony Pictures, with $16.5 million.  The latter also has garnered lots of praise with a 98% rating on the Tomatometer.

Hugo would boast much higher numbers for Paramount Pictures, but the Martin Scorcese Family Movie opted to open only in 3-D, hence debuting with $15 million from 1,227 theatres.

Rounding out the Top Ten is The Descendants for Fox Searchlight, which still is performing exceedingly well in only 390 theatres with $9 million over the five-day weekend.

"BREAKING DAWN PT. 1" IS SECOND-HIGHEST OPENING FOR "TWILIGHT"

Still from Breaking Dawn Pt. 1
As you can see, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 was an epic failure at the Box Office this weekend.  Hardly anyone saw it.  LOL Just kidding. This latest installment tallied $139.5 million, the Twilight Franchise's second-highest opening weekend ever right behind 2009's A New Moon, which opened with $142.8 million. Early numbers projected that it would bring-in upwards of $140 million but nonetheless, this is highly impressive and $72 million of that alone came from its opening day. Internationally, it fared amazingly well with $283.5 million.

Happy Feet 2 opened this weekend with $22 million for Warner Bros. which by all means is good, but still far off the mark of the $41.5 million its predecessor made back in 2006.  It was an ambitious task opening the same weekend as Breaking Dawn Pt. 1, as much of that Female audience's (including Moms) attentions were spent there.

Immortals continues to do well in third this weekend with $12.3 million in its second week of release, just ahead of horrendously-reviewed Adam Sandler-in-drag fare Jack and Jill with $12 million.

Puss in Boots finds itself in fifth spot this weekend with $10.7 million, to-date earning $122.3 million.  J. Edgar in its second week slips to seventh spot with $5.9 million, uncharacteristically weak for a Film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

At the bottom of the Top Ten is The Descendants starring George Clooney, which appears to be garnering him lots of Oscars Best Actor and Best Picture buzz.  It sets a record for highest grossing Film from fewest number of Theatres, earning $1.2 million from just 29 screens.

"TWILIGHT" CAST VISIT "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW"

The Cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show
The Cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show today and revealed some antics that we might not always see in the more serious Romance/Drama Franchise.

Robert Pattinson revealed that in Edward's much-talked about "Babymaking Scene" with Bella (Kristen Stewart) that his "buttcrack" had to be edited-out, drawing some laughs from the Crowd. "You can show cheek, but no crack", Pattinson clarifies.

Taylor Lautner (Jacob), visiting the Show for the first time, also revealed his secret talent of being able to catch flying bits of food with his mouth and Stewart demonstrated by throwing Grapes at him which he v. successfully caught with his mouth.

NEW MUSIC: BRUNO MARS - IT WILL RAIN FROM "THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PT. 1"

Official Artwork for It Will Rain
"If you walk away, every day it will rain".

Bruno Mars shows a bit of edge of this new Theme Song from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1, which just might be the biggest Song to ever come out of that wildly-popular Franchise. Mars just doesn't stop with eight Top 20 U.S. Billboard Hot 100 hits to his name and possibly his fourth U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number one here in a short but meteoric rise to the Pop Top.  I actually quite like the Track, which is quite moodier than anything else he's done.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 Original Soundtrack will be in stores November 8, 2011.

KELLAN LUTZ AT TIFF PREMIERE FOR "YOU'RE NEXT"

Kellan Lutz in Toronto - September 2011
They honestly don't come nicer than Kellan Lutz, so pardon my excitement when I saw The Twilight Saga Hunk arriving on the Red Carpet shortly after Ryan Gosling had left Ryerson Theatre for the Premiere of Drive.  This would be my third time meeting him!

Lutz attended the Premiere of a Horror Film called You're Next starring Aussie Sharni Vinson and he was all smiles, taking Photos with the few Fans there who noticed him, looking dapper in black-on-black. I also got to meet Step-Up 3-D star Vinson who was adorable posing with Fans in a Wolf Mask, which I assume is a recurring theme in the Film?

"THE TWILIGHT SAGA" CAST APPEAR AT COMIC-CON 2011

Robert Pattinson in Toronto - July 2011
With Comic-Con 2011 festivities now underway in San Diego, mania has already reached a feverish pitch with the Cast of The Twilight Saga fielding questions about the next installment, Breaking Dawn. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner all showed-up along with Director Bill Condon who told those in attendance, "There's no bigger fan of Twilight than Kristen. She would always say, 'I know what I felt like when I read this in the book.' She was always pushing, pushing, pushing to make sure she was capturing that feeling.".  Consummate professional!

Because those surrounding the Film wanted to keep as many details under wraps as possible, it is said that Security was extra tight during filming with no E-mails or Cellphones allowed on-set.  Also, a cloak was used to mask any clues to Bella's (Stewart) Wedding Gown for the eagerly-awaited Wedding.

It was also learned via Pattinson who still is rocking the asymmetrical hair he had sported in his final days of filming Cosmopolis in Toronto, that Girlfriend Stewart actually is a huge Fan of The Cooking Channel.  He revealed that she constantly leaves the television on that particular channel. She however was quick to snap back, "And you all reap the benefits!".  Who would've guessed?

Stewart also will be doing a Conference for Snow White and the Huntsman on Saturday along with Co-stars Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 hits theatres November 18, 2011.

Taylor Lautner & Robert Pattinson kiss at 2011 MTV Movie Awards
In what will be remembered as the most shockingly defining moment of the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, Robert Pattinson went into the audience where The Twilight Saga Co-star Taylor Lautner was sitting... and kissed him!  After much speculation that tonight would be the first time in which Pattinson and Girlfriend/Co-Star Kristen Stewart would be kissing publicly upon receiving their award for Best Kiss, Pattinson managed to break the tension successfully with his surprise move.  Pattinson also won Best Male Performance for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Jason Sudeikis of NBC's Saturday Night Live hosted for the first-time ever providing for several awkward moments, including making reference to Blake Lively's recent Nude Photo Scandal when introducing her and  Green Lantern Co-star Ryan Reynolds on-stage as Presenters.

Reese Witherspoon who received the MTV Generation Award for her body of work, gave younger Actresses a bit of advice, "If you're gonna take nude photos of yourself, cover your face!".  Calling, Blake Lively....

ROBERT PATTINSON GREETS FANS ON TORONTO SET OF "COSMOPOLIS"

Robert Pattinson greeting Toronto Fans
Although I wasn't feeling particularly amazing at all today, I got some rest and pulled myself together by Evening for all you RPattz Fans - only because you've all been so wonderful to me!

Cosmopolis continued into its third day of Filming here in Toronto, with one of my favourite Diners in Little Portugal providing the backdrop. The Production Crew, after taking measures to Paparazzi-proof their Set yesterday on Mercer St., took similar precautions again today in keeping Megastar Robert Pattinson's Trailer out of sight. Fans waiting the entire day by the front of the Restaurant failed to get a glimpse of him all day with him being ushered in and out through the back of the establishment.

After locating Pattinson's Trailer, I found a few devout and savvy Fans who had been waiting patiently the entire day in the area.  Unfortunately they had failed to catch his attention as he went in and out of his Trailer.  One Fan after growing tired of waiting, finally approached Pattinson's Handler Dean, asking if there was any remote possibility of obtaining an Autograph even.  She however had been told by him, "Probably not - there's too many people around", shielding his attention-shy Client.  In total there were six Fans in-waiting.

Around 8:00 PM a glimmer of hope appeared as Pattinson entered his Trailer again for one final wardrobe change for the day - a change back into his Everyday Wear: a Stussy T-shirt, his Long Beach 49ers Baseball Cap and a pair of Jeans.  He officially had wrapped for the day after a long, grueling day in the Heatwave which has hit the City.  After flagging him over, we were shocked to see Pattinson actually respond to us, coming over to personalize Photos and Magazines for us one-by-one in his best possible Penmanship.

ROBERT PATTINSON ON THE SET OF "COSMOPOLIS" IN TORONTO

Robert Pattinson on the set of Cosmopolis
It's official, Toronto is P.O.'d, or Pattinsoned-out. At least for today anyway. The British Hearththrob took over Financial District today with Filming taking place for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis - the first official outdoor shoot for the Film in the City.

With the street transformed into New York City with an abundance of yellow Cabs and its signature Newsstands, much of today's filming centered around a Deli (click here to see). In attendance today were cast members Kevin Durand (who we spotted yesterday in Yorkville) and Sarah Gadon.

Fans who lined-up early, were kept at a distance from their hopes of meeting the Twilight Saga Hunk. Handlers told them, "We won't be bringing him over there!", managing expectations accordingly. This didn't prevent the determined from trying though as onlookers got a generously helping of Pattinson as he went in and out of his Trailer onto the Set just one block over.

An attention-shy Pattinson had his Lunch delivered to him in his deluxe Trailer from Craft Services and was seen with a bottle of Nestea Iced Green Tea in his hand walking into his Make-up Trailer for a touch-up.  Noticing Paparazzi and Fans trying to snap away, he at one point tried hiding behind his Handler, before toughening-up and braving the Cameras.  One Paparazzi got in a little too close and was warned, "You better stay back or I'm gonna make sure everyone else gets their Photos except you!".  Ouch.

Wrapping around 5:00 PM, Fans received a friendly wave from Pattinson before he headed off for the day.

Enjoy this Clip I got of Pattinson below heading to his Make-up Trailer:

ROBERT PATTINSON & SARAH GADON ON TORONTO SET OF "COSMOPOLIS"

Sarah Gadon & Robert Pattinson on set of Cosmopolis

Less talking, more gawking.  Here are some Photos I got of Toronto's Sarah Gadon and Robert Pattinson filming a Deli Scene for Cosmopolis earlier today.  The David Cronenberg Film will be filming in the City until the middle of July.

For more info and photos of Pattinson, click on this Post I did earlier today.

I will note to those of you looking to meet Gadon, she is not - I repeat - not Fan friendly at all.  At least while working from what I can see...  I received multiple messages telling me how Fans were denied Autographs and Photos with her throughout the day.  Sorry - if it makes you feel any better, she said "No" to me also.

See some more Photos below:

ROBSTENMANIA HITS TORONTO

Photo of Robert Pattinson by Cynthia Oh
With a few reported Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart sightings having circulated on Twitter, it is safe to say that Robstenmania has begun in Toronto.

Paparazzi and Fans alike staked-out the Hotel where the low-key Couple are alleged to be staying from as early as 5:00 AM Sunday morning through 11:00 PM, without a trace of the Couple and their beloved Rescue Dog, Bear in sight. Undeterred and determined to get that first Toronto Robsten Shot, some Paparazzi were out again early this morning ready and armed with their SLRs.  Without a confirmed sighting from a credible source, the question is bring raised, "Are Robsten nocturnal?" - as in like real Vampires?

As many of you Twihards know, Pattinson arrived in Toronto Saturday night getting ready to begin production on David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, as confirmed via a Tweet from Twitter User Cynthia Oh (Sojinski).  Oh spotted Pattinson carrying his Guitar and a Duffle Bag at Pearson International Airport. He was wearing an outfit identical to the one he was seeing in, while leaving Sydney Airport earlier in the day.

Stewart, as confirmed only a couple days prior via Thor Actress Jaimie Alexander, was spotted in town.  Stay tuned....  I'm on this, Twihards.

INTERVIEW: CATHERINE HARDWICKE, DIRECTOR OF "TWILIGHT" AND "RED RIDING HOOD" | SIGNED PHOTO GIVEAWAY

Catherine Hardwicke in Toronto - March 2011
Known commercially as the Most Successful Female Director of all time, Catherine Hardwicke would appear to have a lot - pardon the pun - riding on her re-imagination of The Brothers Grimm classic, Red Riding Hood. After surprisingly opting not to sign-on for the second Film in The Twilight Saga franchise due to the rushed demands of its studio, many are wondering: will Catherine Hardwicke be able to replicate her success without that franchise?

Sitting down to chat with Hardwicke recently during the Toronto stopoff of her promotional tour for Red Riding Hood, the Architect-turned-Production Designer-turned Filmmaker sure had me fooled if there was an inkling of pressure. The effervescent Texas native walked into the room all smiles, apologizing for running behind schedule in one of many interviews she had slated for the day.  "Ooh, that`s cute!", she said as she  admired a Paul Smith-designed Limited Edition bottle of Evian on the table.

Despite Red Riding Hood being Hardwicke`s fifth time directing a Feature Film with critical successes Lords of Dogtown and moreso Thirteen on her Résumé, this is the first project which allowed her to incorporate her talents as an Architect and an Artist into her Filmmaking. "When I first arrived in Hollywood I was so naïve and thought they only wanted creative people.  I thought I could be like Tim Burton and just do whatever I wanted", she  giggles.  Incorporating her artistic vision into the Film wasn`t an easy feat though as  Hardwicke had to draft various images, paintings and drawings and present them to the studio, "Essentially, I had to sell Warner Bros. on their own project", she admits.
