KATRINA BOWDEN IN TORONTO FOR "NURSE 3-D"

Katrina Bowden & Mr. Will-W.
Things are taking off quickly for Katrina Bowden and if you don't already recognize her from her work on NBC's 30 Rock as Cerie Xerox or Piranha 3-D, you'll recognize her soon for her work in American Reunion (the latest in the American Pie franchise) and Horror Nurse 3-D, which she is filming in Toronto opposite Paz de la Huerta, as one part of a duo of sexy killer Nurses.

Filming late tonight in the Downtown Core after an early wrap yesterday, Bowden was headed to film a scene with de la Huerta, but would not deny a few Fans their moment, stopping to pose for Photos outside her Trailer.  Seeing her in-person, it was plain to see why the gorgeous 23 year-old was voted Esquire Magazine's Sexiest Woman Alive this past April.

Nurse 3-D from Director Doug Aarniokoski, is set to wrap Production by week's end.

MOVIE-GOERS GIVEN TOO MANY CHOICES THIS WEEKEND - THE EXPENDABLES DECIDEDLY ON-TOP AGAIN

Vampires Suck
Movie-goers scratched their heads over what to see this weekend with five films opening domestically. But one can never under-estimate the power of Testosterone as Lionsgate's The Expendables makes it two weeks on-top with $16.5 million, earning $64.9 million.

The Twilight Saga-parodying Vampires Suck from Fox has created a new market of fans in the same vein as the Scary Movie franchise. Opening on Wednesday, the film pulled in a surprising $12.2 million, placing it in second.

Eat Pray Love continues to perform consistently well in third spot with $12 million, earning $47.1 million. The film was made for $60 million and has yet to open overseas, where it is expected to perform well also as Julia Roberts does her promotional rounds.

Lottery Ticket, which I enjoyed, landed in third sport above all expectations, with $11.1 million. The film opened only in 1,973 theatres.

Piranha 3D, which was absolutely amazing, marks yet another weak opening for fumbling The Weinstein Co., which in recent memory had another major studio loss with the musical NINE. The horror-comedy debuts in sixth spot with $10 million. Luckily though, this one was made for $24 million and should earn it back in its Box Office run.

PIRANHA 3D REVIEW

To make a bad movie with the intention of making a good one happens often. To make a good movie with the intention of making a bad one - now, that's a rarity. French Director Alexandre Aja, best known for cult classic High Tension is back with Piranha 3D - the latest in a classic B-Movie franchise which dates back to the late '70s. Now with a budget courtesy of The Weinstein Co. and 3-D technology, the story gets updated for this generation of Movie-goers.

The College Kids head to Lake Victoria for Spring Break and all is a big party until some geographic movement unleashes hoards of ancient Killer Piranhas out of nowhere. Sheriff Julie Forester, played by a dearly-missed Elizabeth Shue, is in charge of maintaining order among the festivities and assigns her son Jake (Steven R. McQueen) the task of baby-sitting his two younger siblings while she is on assignment. Jerry O'Connell plays Derrick Jones, the sleazy mogul behind a Girls Gone Wild-like production company, recruiting a naive Jake to assist in scouting locations around the Lake to film his curvacious models, including Playboy Playmate Kelly Brook.

Kelly (Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr) has feelings for Jake and decides to go aboard Derrick's Boat for some wild times on the Lake.  Jake's two unsupervised younger siblings however get themselves into trouble, heading out to the water. All the while, the College Kids are out on the water and before long, the fun comes to a full halt as the Killer Piranhas crash the party - disaster strikes and quite literally, Lake Victoria becomes a blood bath. People get mauled to death, limbs get eaten off, sexual organs all afloat.  And oh yes, the new King of Horror Eli Roth and Richard Dreyfus of Jaws, which the film pays homage to, make  cameos as well. And did I forget to mention though that somewhere amidst all the gore, you might actually find yourself laughing at the over-the-top absurdity of it all?

CRITICS AGREE PIRANHA 3D IS DELICIOUS

Believe it or not, this campy mess known as Alexandre Aja's Piranha 3D is getting amazingly positive reviews.  Upon perusing Rotten Tomatoes today, it appears Critics agree that this is a bit of a Masterpiece at an 85% rating, making it one of the year's best-reviewed films.

Perfect.  It's about time our beloved The Weinstein Co., Elisabeth Shue and Jerry O'Connell, the latter who gets his Manhood bitten off by the Vicious Fishes, get a break!  I just may check this one out as it is now in theatres.  Check this weekend for a review.  V. Curious!
