It's like the happy ending of Dreamgirls but instead with a bunch of middle-aged Rockers! I'm actually excited to hear today that former Frontman David Lee Roth will be reuniting Van Halen once again for his first Studio Album with the Outfit since 1985 and a Tour next year. After launching a Solo Career - I loved Roth's 1985 Covers of The Beach Boys'California Girls and Louis Prima's Just a Gigolo - he had been marred by personal problems despite some commercial success. A previous attempt to reunite with the Band in 1996 didn't quite work out. A couple tracks were salvaged among those studio sessions and Roth had been touring with Van Halen briefly between 2007 and 2008.
Van Halen is the Band with the most number one Hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart and also have sold over 80 million albums worldwide. Just last month, the Band inked a deal with Interscope Records (distributed via Universal Music). Tickets for their Tour go on-sale January 10, 2012.
