Pride and Joy of the Prairies, k.d. lang will be playing a free Show accompanied by The Siss Boom Bang at the Luminato Festival this Summer. The Show will take place Friday, June 17, 2011 at David Pecaut Square - just west of Roy Thomson Hall. Scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM, the three-hour Concert also includes an appearance by The Belle Brigade.
With the MuchMusic Video Awards also taking place that weekend, the City alone can be powered by excitement, yes?
Although lacking a bit of the Star Power we got at last year's Luminato which included appearances by the likes of Melanie Fiona, John Malkovich, Michael Urie and more, the Arts celebration still offers plenty in this its fifth year, including a Concert by Ron Sexsmith.
