NATALIE PORTMAN ON JANUARY ISSUE OF VOGUE

Natalie Portman on January 2011 issue of Vogue
Vogue has finally published Joan Juliet Buck's Interview with Natalie Portman online, hot on the heels of her Golden Globe nomination this morning for Black Swan.   She also was just awarded Best Actress by the Boston Society of Film Critics and New York Film Critics Online this weekend too, plus garnering a nod in the Broadcast Film Critics Assocation Awards. In the fascinating Write-up we learn about her Dietary habits - she is a Vegan when dining out and a Vegetarian at home - and also her Role Models, plus what we can expect from her down-the-pipe.

Portman and her business partner Annette Savitch have developed a production company, Handsomecharlie Films, named in memory of her now-deceased Dog Charlie, which she brought on David Letterman some years ago.  She vows to produce more Female Comedies as she feels "there just aren't enough of them".

You can also learn about her training regimen while preparing for her role as Nina in Black Swan, revealing she was on a Diet of Coffee and Ibuprofen, sleeping five hours a night.  She tells Buck, "Your body is in constant pain.”

Interestingly also, we learn that Portman went under her real surname Hershlag, while studying at Harvard, which helped others around her forget who she was.  She is adamant about not letting Fame dictate her life.  Fascinating stuff.
