Regardless of how mixed the reactions have been to the second half of Glee's first season, it is undeniable that this week's season finale was just superb.  The episode hit all the right nights emotionally and I think I might've cried about six times.  The Journey tribute medley was uhh... outstanding and it isn't until the kids all reflected on their progressions to Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison)  since joining Glee Club, that we realize how we too have grown with them.

The episode was capped off perfectly in an as-tender-as-it-gets moment between Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) and Mr. Schuester, where we realize that maybe she just isn't as big a Bitch as we might have thought.  And Morrison's cover of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow with a Banjo and Puck (Mark Salling) on Guitar and harmonies was beyond beautiful.

One of the tracks in the said Journey medley was FaithfullyRachel (Lea Michele) has never sounded better.  Just listen to  her give it her all here (courtesy of Sony Music):
