Tuesday night's all-Madonna episode of Glee on Fox was a ratings smash both north and south of the border, pulling in 2 million viewers in Canada - good enough to beat out its sister program American Idol. The musical sitcom's ratings dipped only slightly from its record-breaking season premiere one week prior which was also just over the 2 million viewer mark. 1.1 million of the show's viewers Tuesday night were in the 18 to 49 age demographic. In America though, the show fared even better, pulling in 13.5 million viewers!
Global Television in Canada will be airing an encore of the episode based on its success this coming Friday, April 23, 2010 at 9 PM EST. The mixed critical and fan reaction to the second season thus far, doesn't seem to be impacting its overall success one bit.
