Reilly and Christoph Waltz, just surfaced today... and it actually looks funnier than imagined. Nothing like seeing a bunch of Adults acting like Kids – Oscar-winning/nominated Adults above that!

KATE WINSLET POSSIBLE FOR TIFF 2011?

Kate Winslet for St. John
If I could get my Photo with any one Actress and one Actress only, it would definitely be Kate Winslet.  The Academy Award winner time and time again has melted my heart with astounding work and after just receiving a Primetime Emmy nomination last week for her work on Mildred Pierce, she now is some TIFF buzz for two possible titles which may be premiering here in September.  Both Steven Soderbergh's Contagion and Roman Polanski's Carnage in which she stars, could begin their Oscars campaign trail here in Toronto before the most discerning of Critics.

The Actress follows Angelina Jolie's lead and now appears as the face of Fashion House St. John's Fall 2011 Collection, while Jolie now is the face of Louis VuittonPlease, Kate!

NEW STILLS FROM ROMAN POLANSKI'S "CARNAGE"

Still from Carnage
You could cut the tension with a Butter Knife. Check out some of these new stills from Roman Polanski's adaptation of the play God of Carnage, simply titled Carnage. Sony Pictures Classics releases the Drama about two Couples who decide to sit down and have a rational discussion after their Children have a fight at school.  Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz star in quite possibly the most perfect Ensemble Cast ever assembled.

There's some TIFF buzz on this one - crossing fingers we'll see this one in Toronto this September! I'll be first to line-up to get tickets!  A release date is still to be confirmed.

POSSIBLE 2011 TIFF TITLES? (UPDATED)

Still from Like Crazy
Although the Toronto International Film Festival is only a little over two months away, there already is wide speculation about which major Oscars Keyplayers will be getting a Toronto Premiere here come September.  Although these are based purely on rumour, the below v. possibly could be screening in the City - meaning you just might be seeing these Stars here!

Here are a few Candidates:
We Need to Talk About Kevin – starring Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly; about a Mother recounting the series of events leading up to her Son’s massacring of students and teachers at his High School.
Sleeping Beauty – Australian film starring Emily Browning about a Girl who enters a secret underground Prostitution Ring, taking a sleep-inducing Drug which then allows her Clientele to have their way with her without any recollection.
The Ides of March – starring George Clooney, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti and Evan Rachel Wood. A Staff Member to a new Presidential Candidate is given a quick, dirty Crash Course on Politics during his Campaign Trail.

JULIA ROBERTS AND MERYL STREEP: TOGETHER AT LAST

Julia Roberts in Toronto - July 2010
Julia Roberts has got a secret.  Or not.  In a surprising bit of news, it has been announced that both Roberts and Meryl Streep are close to confirming an on-screen collaboration in a forthcoming adaptation of the play August: Osage County.  The film will be directed by John Wells who is known mostly for his work on Television (ER) and also his forthcoming release The Company Men.  The film is being developed by The Weinstein Co. and hopefully will be condensed down from its near three-and-a-half hour stage version.

August: Osage Country penned by Tracy Letts, is about a family with multiple generations of women facing different demons.  The Matriarch Violet (to be played by Streep), is overcoming a serious addiction to Prescription Drugs, while her eldest daughter Barbara (Roberts) is dealing with her husband's infidelity.  Although this won't begin filming until next summer, we can expect that perhaps 2012 will be a year of powerhouse female performances, especially with the recent news of Jodi Foster and Kate Winslet teaming up to star in Roman Polanski's screen adaptation of Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage.  Don't make me choose... please!
