DIANNA AGRON MISSES DETROIT "GLEE LIVE! IN CONCERT!" SHOW

Dianna Agron in Toronto - June 2011
The beautiful Dianna Agron inexplicably is missing from tonight's Glee Live! In Concert! show at Detroit's Palace of Auburn.  After spending her weekend in Toronto, some seasoned eyes in Yorkville noted to me that she was seen with her Luggage in-tow around 4:00 PM EST, cutting it extremely close to her show later this evening south of the Border.  One Onlooker tells me, "She didn't look too happy in front of her Hotel", confirming that she was wearing her Heart-shaped Sunglasses today. Most of her fellow Cast Mates left Toronto today shortly after 12:30 PM, one Guest at their Hotel tells me.

Having met the lovely Singer/Actress yesterday, she appeared to be all smiles during the Afternoon as she strolled through the streets with her Handler.  Whatever her reason is today for not being able to make it to Detroit, let's all send her our well wishes and positive thoughts via Twitter here, where she has been quiet all day. Love you, Dianna!

DIANNA AGRON OF "GLEE" SPOTTED IN TORONTO

Dianna Agron in Toronto - June 2011
Just about every Gleek - and there were many - waiting outside the Cast's Hotel in Yorkville was shocked to see their favourite Teen Mom Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron), walk through the Lobby onto the street and interact with Fans.  This actually was a refreshing change from many of her Co-stars who remained low-key this weekend.  Despite being told by Hotel Security that she couldn't pose for Photos with Fans on-premises, the kind-spirited Agron took the party onto the Street where she chat with Fans, remaining cool and calm despite her Handler's persistent shooing-away of Fans.

Agron then told the Crowd, "I've got to go out and get some Air. When I come back later, I'll try my best to stop and take some Photos with you!".  She then did a quick round through Yorkville, where a couple ardent Fans and me managed to flag her attention.  Agron of course, was lovely enough to oblige to Photo requests  once the Crowd dwindled with a smile, before more Fans came out of nowhere requesting Photos with her. She then  had to decline with grace and sincerity.  In the v. least she told Fans that they could take Photos of her as she continued to walk along and they were thrilled with this. Dianna Agron totally gets the Fame thing and rocks it with Dignity.  Kudos.

And how about that cute Outfit of hers?  She wore a Green Floral Print Skirt, paired with a Pink Sweater and some Turquoise Urban Outfitters Headphones around her neck. Love those vintage Pink Heart-shaped Sunglasses!  Agron is a Girl I'd love to hang with. Style Maven!

"GLEE LIVE! IN CONCERT!" AT TORONTO'S AIR CANADA CENTRE - REVIEW, PICS & VIDEO

Glee Live! In Concert! at Toronto's Air Canada Centre
At last, Torontonians have had a chance to witness the greatness that is the Glee Live! In Concert! Tour tonight at Air Canada Centre and it is everything I hoped it would be ...and more!  The 90-minute Show is a high-energy spectacle without a lull to be found. Taking the stage at 9:00 PM to roaring cheers, the Set began with The New Directions appearing on-stage performing what is now known as one of the Cast's signature tunes, Don't Stop Believin' (Journey).

Bridged by brief Video Montages of Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) hilariously expressing her distaste for the New Directions, an endless array of spirited Covers were delivered like Dog Days are Over (Florence & The Machine) by Jenna Ushkowitz & Amber Riley; a sultry delivery of I'm a Slave 4 U (Britney Spears) by Heather Morris; a soulful Ain't No Way (Aretha Franklin) by Riley; a Katy Perry one-two of Firework and Teenage Dream - the former sung by Lea Michele and the latter by Darren Criss & The Warblers; River Deep, Mountain High (Tina Turner) by Naya Rivera and Riley; Kevin McHale's wheelchair-free performance of Safety Dance (Men Without Hats); and group deliveries of songs like Born this Way (Lady Gaga) and Somebody to Love (Queen).

The Synergy felt from this extremely-talented Cast simply was magical. Although this evening's Setlist stuck mostly to Pop, steering away from some of the more Showtunesque moments found in the Musical Sitcom itself, this choice in Musical Direction was a right one considering the young demographic of the Audience.  Everything from the Singing to Choreography to Stage Production was tight and I contemplate myself wanting to see it allover again.

"UNKNOWN" IS KNOWN FOR TAKING TOP SPOT AT BOX OFFICE

Still from Unknown
In a v. evenly-matched race at the Box Office this weekend, Warner Bros.' Unknown winds up taking the top spot. The Thriller starring Liam Neeson and Mad Men's January Jones, despite mixed reviews overall (56% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer) will bring in $21.8 million by end of weekend.
Disney's I Am Number Four takes second spot. Starring real-life Couple Alex Pettyfer and Glee's Dianna Agron, the Action/Fantasy brought in $19.5 million in its opening weekend. There is talk of this developing into a Franchise and clearly there's a demand for it among Movie-goers.

Following closely in third is Gnomeo & Juliet 3-D with $19.4 million for eOne Films/Summit Entertainment. The Animated Feature set to the music of Elton John, debuted in third also last week, holding steady despite a 23.4% drop.
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston's Just Go With It slips to fourth this weekend with $18.2 million, after denying Justin Bieber's Never Say Never 3-D top spot last weekend.  To date it has earned $63.5 million, well on its way to recouping its $80 million production budget for Sony Pictures.

Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son in my opinion didn't need to made at all, but the latest installment of the Martin Lawrence franchise debuts in fifth with a not-too-shabby $17 million. One thing is clear - people love seeing Black Men in Drag as evinced by the success of this and Tyler Perry's wildly successful Madea Films.

GLEE CAST ON "THE X FACTOR"

Cast of Glee on The X Factor
Where is the justice? It was just announced this weekend that our friends in the UK will get to see the Glee Live! In Concert! Tour late June with stop-offs slated for Manchester and London. And Canada gets shafted yet again

The New Directions with the exception of Kurt (Chris Colfer) who was busy filming scenes, flew out to London this weekend for an appearance on The X Factor performing Journey's Don't Stop Believin' - making their first ever live appearance ever overseas.  Needless to say, the Brits loved it.  Have a look:

NEW MUSIC: CAST OF GLEE - (I'VE HAD) THE TIME OF MY LIFE

It's Dirty Dancing fever allover again. Jennifer Grey makes a triumphant return to the spotlight earlier this week with a win on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. The Black Eyed Peas sample (I've Had) The Time of My Life by Jennifer Warnes & Bill Medley on their new hit single The Time (Dirty Bit) and now the cast of Glee do a rendition of the guilty pleasure on next week's episode. The track will also be on Glee: The Music, Vol. 4 in stores next Tuesday! Too amazing.

Although a bit more subdued with the Glee makeover, the whole cast gets a chance to shine on this version with Dianna Agron and Chord Overstreet on top and there's even a nice little Key Change thrown in for effect near the end. Love it. Best song ever. And anyone who doesn't have a soft spot for it needs to be charged with Perjury.
