ZOOEY DESCHANEL PERFORMS "STAR SPANGLED BANNER" AT "WORLD SERIES"

I sometimes forget that Zooey Deschanel is a Singer too, making it that much more confusing for those who confuse the talented star of Fox's New Girl for Katy Perry, who also is now embarking on an acting career. Oh come on, you have to admit they look alike!

Although admittedly I still am on-the-fence about New Girl mostly because I fear for its longevity, it was the first series of the 2011-2012 to get picked-up for a full season based on successful ratings. In fact, it is the highest-rated debut for Fox in over ten years when The Bernie Mac Show first was introduced.

Hoping the Series helps launch Deschanel back into Film, where she really belongs because really she's the one benefiting most from it all.

New Girl airs Tuesdays on CityTV at 9:00 PM EST.
