NEW MUSIC: WILL YOUNG - JEALOUSY

Official Artwork for Jealousy
Okay, I admit I’ve never really been a Fan of the UK’s first-ever Idol winner Will Young, so my liking him suddenly seems rather random. His latest Track is however, leading to a career resurgence of sorts, placing him on the radars of many also who prior might not have paid mind to him. Young’s latest Single Jealousy is a gorgeous, melancholy delight which reaches places in me mentally and emotionally where only Guilty Pleasures like Martika’s Toy Soldier and Jon Secada’s Just Another Day have. Jealousy feels like the end of Summer to me and listening to it takes me right there to a bank of bittersweet Memories.

Jealousy already is a Top Five hit in the UK and above this, his fifth Disc Echoes has reached number one there too after being released there last week. Of course it doesn’t hurt that superlative Dance Music Producer Richard X helmed the Disc, delivering all sorts of amazingness on quietly sexy offerings like I Just Want a Lover, Runaway, Lie Next to Me, Losing Myself and Good Things. Young treads a territory paved by the likes of George Michael and Simply Red, with the Material complementing perfectly his delicate Tenor.

Even the Video for Jealousy also seems thoughtfully crafted, telling a Story of a male Gymnast who has unrequited feelings for a rival Dancer, not unlike Black Swan?

Crossing fingers for a Stateside release. This Album needs to be heard!
