Your chance to have dinner with Drake! Serious. Canada's biggest Hip-Hop Star ever will be hosting The Lincoln Rising Charity Fundraiser Dinner alongside Kardinal Offishall on Boxing Day, December 26, 2010. The invite-only Dinner is organized by Video Director X and held at 398 Eglinton Avenue West, followed by an After-Party at hotspot Lot 332; Usher held his OMG Tour After-Party there just last week. Some big names in Music are expected.
The Event is to raise awareness for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy and one Torontonian named Lincoln J. Russell once was a v. successful Stunt Man and Martial Artist prior to falling ill to the Disorder. In CIDP, the Body's Nerves are attacked by Immune Cells, resulting in the affected Nerves failing to respond. Russell is unable to sit-up on his own now.
Because our Health Care System will only cover Russell's Treatment partially, he now is forced to obtain funding on his own and thus, proceeds from this Fundraiser will go directly towards his medical expenses. The Festivities coincide with his Birthday.
They've made it quite easy for you to show your support for the cause and all you have to do is click here to make a Donation. There are fun ways to donate also including Auctions like a Trip for Two to the MTV Movie Awards, a Meet & Greet with Nelly Furtado and a Signed Bottle of Cologne by Ludacris. The biggest item up for grabs is Dinner with Drake at the Fundraiser and bidding starts at $2,500 CAN.
