PRODUCT WATCH: COLD STONE CREAMERY ICE CREAM CAKE

Cold Stone Creamery's Candy Wonderland Cake
Arriving in Canada as a pilot project with Tim  Horton's in 2009, American Ice Cream Parlour Cold Stone Creamery has proven a hit in seven key markets in the country.  On many a hot Summer day, I've been saved by the Tim Horton's in my area which has a Cold Stone Counter.  Nothing is more delightful than that cool, chewy sensation which can come only from that frozen Granite surface and fun Mix-ins like Brownies, Cookie Dough, Chocolate Bars and more. Britney Spears and Katy Perry are devout Cold Stone Creamery Fans and I sure as hell am too.

Cold Stone Creamery was sweet enough (pardon the pun) to gift me one of their Limited Edition Holiday items, the Candy Wonderland Cake.  Sandwiched between layers of Chocolate Cake, their pink Candy Cane Ice Cream dominates this pleasurable re-imagination of your standard Ice Cream Cake.  These layers are blanketed by a thin sheet of Chocolate Ganache and then adorned with both whole and bits of Candy Cane.  The only thing detracting from this experience is the gruelingly long ten minutes you must wait for it to stand before slicing it.  A small Cake serves six generous slices.  Thank you, Cold Stone Creamery!
