"MEGAMIND" TO MAKE IT TWO-FOR-TWO AT BOX OFFICE

Still from Megamind
It's a Monster!  Megamind is likely to make it two weeks on top of the Box Office, with an estimated $26 million this weekend.  The Paramount film should surpass the $100 million mark by mid-week.
Unstoppable from Fox starring Chris Pine and Denzel Washington opens strong with approximately $23.5 million from 3,365 theatres (about 700 less than Megamind) this weekend.   Despite landing on-top based on Friday night's numbers, with the weekend rush of families seeing Megamind, it will in all likelihood slip to second by the final tally. Reviews are strong with Rotten Tomatoes pegging it at 87% - one of the year's highest ratings.

Despite not faring well critically, Warner Bros.' Due Date slips to third spot this weekend with $16 million, still performing well after a debut in second last week.

Skyline, a Sci-Fi/Action from Alliance Atlantis/Universal/Relativity Media debuts with $12 million this weekend (it was made for only $10 million) despite much positive buzz surrounding it, putting it ahead of Paramount's Morning Glory starring Diane Keaton, Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams which debuts in fifth with $9.4 million.

Red surprisingly still is doing quite well in seventh spot, five weeks after its release with $5 million, putting it just shy of the $80 million mark.
