MMVAs RECAP

I hope you all enjoyed my MMVAs coverage leading up to last night's show! In case you missed it, a complete list of award winners are listed at the show's official website here. What you need to know is that Hedley took home the show's major awards including Video of the Year and also Best Post Production for their single Perfect and Best Pop Video for Cha-Ching. Yawn.

Miley Cyrus won Best International Video Award for Party in the USA, which should come as no surprise since she was asked to host this year. Hot Rapper Drake nabbed two awards including Best Cinematography and Best Hip-Hop Video for Successful, while teen-darling Justin Bieber also took home awards in important categories like Ur Fave New Artist, International Video by a Canadian Artist and also, Ur Fave Video for Baby. Surprisingly, Adam Lambert won Best International Video for Whataya Want from Me which he performed also last night considering he was up against stiff competition, namely Lady Gaga.

The most-talked about outfits were a barely there, hip-revealing ensemble donned by Cyrus who opened the show with hit Party in the USA. Katy Perry had the same idea in mind, revealing her hips in a turquoise number and ridiculously high heels. Her decision to arrive on the Red Carpet in an Ice Cream truck, while tossing Popsicles and Soft - yes, Soft - Ice Cream Cones to her fans seemed to irritate VJ Sarah Taylor who was trying to get her attention on the Red Carpet. Ultimately, Perry left a huge mess everywhere but I think she can be forgiven seeing how good she's been to the City this past week.

Also, many of you are wondering where Mr. Will-W.: Pop Maven favourite Ke$ha was and I must say she was the most difficult of all the sight this weekend. Other than arriving to the venue for rehearsals and the actual show, there were no reported sightings of her and fans complained of her being very difficult to get an autograph from. It is said that she stayed a Boutique Hotel with platonic boyfriend Adam Lambert not too far from MuchMusic, although you might've been lucky to get a wave from her.

Alrighty - that's where it's at. Now back to our boring regular lives again.  Love you and thanks for all the views, e-mails and comments!
