How exciting is this? Lady Gaga has just signed on as Creative Director for a line of Polaroid specialty products from the instant camera maker. The multi-year deal will see Lady Gaga and Polaroid co-branded products hit shelves later this year, catering to a new generation of consumers. The financially-troubled company was bought out in May 2009 by Boston’s Gordon Brothers Brands and Toronto’s Hilco Consumer Capital in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. In Lady Gaga's own words, "finally I have a real job." She will be appearing in the Polaroid booth at tomorrow's annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
As an aside, my very first camera ever was a Polaroid Sun 600 which I got for Christmas when I was 10. I loved that camera to death and stupidly got rid of it a couple years ago after hearing that Polaroids would be discontinued. Not that you have to pull my leg to buy a Lady Gaga Polaroid Camera though, because that sounds right up my alley!
The above photo was one I got of Lady Gaga on the Toronto leg of her Monster Ball Tour last month. Click here to read my review of the show. And if you want to put your own photos in a Polaroid template like I did, visit this site. Fun.
