SARAH JESSICA PARKER & ANGELINA JOLIE ARE HOLLYWOOD'S HIGHEST-PAID ACTRESSES

Sarah Jessica Parker in Toronto - March 2010
Forbes Magazine has published their list of Hollywood's Highest-Paid Actresses and right at the top unsurprisingly is Angelina Jolie. Many might be shocked though also to see Sarah Jessica Parker right there alongside her in a tie with both Actresses earning $30 million between May 2010 through May 2011.

Much of Parker's success though is attributed to the big numbers which Sex and the City 2 brought in last year, with it having grossed $290 million.  She can next be seen in I Don't Know How She Does It and also New Year's Eve both out later this year.

Jolie had to work a bit harder for her money starring in two Action Flicks last year, Salt and The Tourist.  Her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey will be released this December.

Following Jolie and Parker are Jennifer Aniston and former list-topper Reese Witherspoon who both tied with $28 million each.  Ranking in fifth is another Highest-Paid Actress, Julia Roberts with $20 million.

JENNIFER ANISTON BRINGS JUSTIN THEROUX TO TAPING OF "INSIDER THE ACTORS STUDIO"

Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux
Currently promoting Warner Bros.' Horrible Bosses, Jennifer Aniston attended a taping of Inside the Actors Studio with James Lipton yesterday in New York City. Apparently the Taping took over three hours and Lipton was rather smitten by the charms of Aniston, who happened to bring along current love interest Justin Theroux - sitting in the front row.

According to People Magazine, Lipton asked Aniston at one point, "What turns you on?" to which she replied to him, "'Generally or currently?' she said with a laugh as she placed her face in her hands and shook her head. 'A great pair of shoes' – prompting Theroux to laugh and applaud.". Oh, love.

Controversial Photographer Terry Richardson snapped the Couple earlier this week in a candid moment, posted it on his Blog.

Yesterday's taping of Insider the Actors Studio will air next month on Bravo.

INTERVIEW: JASON SUDEIKIS ON "HORRIBLE BOSSES" | PRIZE PACK GIVEAWAY

Jason Sudeikis
Most of us know Jason Sudeikis for his work on NBC's Saturday Night Live where his sketches The Two A-Holes and his impression of American Idol Winner Taylor Hicks have brought him considerable notoriety since joining its Cast in 2005. With three Films slated for release in 2011 in addition to his on-going commitments with The Cleveland Show and SNL, it would appear that the Actor/Comedian/Writer from Kansas is now a bona fide Movie Star. Hall Pass in which he starred alongside Owen Wilson already topped to the Box Office in its debut this past February and now Sudeikis arrives in Toronto to promote another Comedy, the hotly-tipped Horrible Bosses for Warner Bros./New Line Cinema.

Riding the same Elevator, I note Sudeikis actually is much taller in-person than imagined.  His Boy-Next-Door good looks are paired with some no-fuss Fashions: a navy blue Cardigan, a pressed white Dress Shirt and a pair of Jeans.  He tells me, "Yeah, I know Toronto pretty well as I filmed a Movie here a few years back (The Rocker) but flew in late last night and only had a chance to have Drinks.  Now I have to fly right out again after this!".

Entering the Interview Suite of his Hotel, he admits to an intimate group of Journalists that he wasn't readily sold on being a part of Horrible Bosses.  "Initially I was hesitant to sign-on as I had just finished filming Hall Pass and then Horrible Bosses got the green light from New Line Cinema. It was just go go go!", he recalls.  "I had just played a character with Ladies on his brain in Hall Pass and I spent much of my charms on that. This time around I'd have to play a Guy with Ladies on his brain and at the same time charm his Friends into murdering their Bosses.".  Sudeikis admits to having declined Director Seth Gordon's offer at one point but after chatting over the Phone over a period of three weeks and being given some creative input into the Script, he convinced himself  finally to stop taking himself so seriously and accept the role of Kurt.

"HORRIBLE BOSSES" TRAILER & POSTERS

What do you think of Aniston's Brunette locks?  The Movie looks absolutely hilarious!

"UNKNOWN" IS KNOWN FOR TAKING TOP SPOT AT BOX OFFICE

Still from Unknown
In a v. evenly-matched race at the Box Office this weekend, Warner Bros.' Unknown winds up taking the top spot. The Thriller starring Liam Neeson and Mad Men's January Jones, despite mixed reviews overall (56% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer) will bring in $21.8 million by end of weekend.
Disney's I Am Number Four takes second spot. Starring real-life Couple Alex Pettyfer and Glee's Dianna Agron, the Action/Fantasy brought in $19.5 million in its opening weekend. There is talk of this developing into a Franchise and clearly there's a demand for it among Movie-goers.

Following closely in third is Gnomeo & Juliet 3-D with $19.4 million for eOne Films/Summit Entertainment. The Animated Feature set to the music of Elton John, debuted in third also last week, holding steady despite a 23.4% drop.
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston's Just Go With It slips to fourth this weekend with $18.2 million, after denying Justin Bieber's Never Say Never 3-D top spot last weekend.  To date it has earned $63.5 million, well on its way to recouping its $80 million production budget for Sony Pictures.

Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son in my opinion didn't need to made at all, but the latest installment of the Martin Lawrence franchise debuts in fifth with a not-too-shabby $17 million. One thing is clear - people love seeing Black Men in Drag as evinced by the success of this and Tyler Perry's wildly successful Madea Films.

JUSTIN BIEBER'S "NEVER SAY NEVER" LANDS ON TOP OF BOX OFFICE FRIDAY NIGHT

Justin Bieber in Toronto - February 2011
Congratulations to Justin Bieber who last night topped the Box Office with over $12.5 million in Ticket Sales from his Motion Picture debut, Never Say Never 3-D.  Although impressive, industry insiders are predicting that by Sunday, the Film will slip to second with Adam Sandler/Jennifer Aniston's Just Go With It expected to take top spot.  The Sandler Romantic-Comedy placed second last night with $9.7 million earned.

I would have to go against what these insiders are predicting.  Sunday traditionally is a day which Families come out in hoards to the theatres and I wouldn't be surprised if Bieber actually takes it all this weekend.  We'll see tomorrow....

Bieber's Film directed by Jon Chu, has actually received pretty strong reviews with Rotten Tomatoes listing it at 63% on the Tomatometer Just Go With It unanimously has received negative reviews, a much lower 18%.

For my coverage of the Toronto premiere of Never Say Never, click here.

UPDATE:  It was a close finish this weekend as Just Go With It just edged out Never Say Never by a hair.  The former brought in $31 million while the latter earned $30.2 million.  One can't say that Bieber didn't try hard, running an incentive on Twitter which awarded some lucky Fans a date with him should they order tickets through MovieTickets.com.

Elton John-produced Animated Feature Gnomeo & Juliet placed a respectable third for Summit Entertainment with $25.5 million.  The Eagle starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell, placed a distant fourth with $8.6 million - perhaps not the best weekend to open.

"TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE" AND JENNIFER ANISTON TOP RAZZIE NOMINATIONS

Official Razzie Awards Logo
Honouring the absolute worst in Cinema in 2010, The Razzies are something I look forward to every year. The nominations are released one day before Oscar nominations are announced and the Awards Ceremony is held the day prior to the Oscars also in Hollywood.

Topping this year's Worst Movie race are both The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with nine nominations and also The Last Airbender 3-D. Following in third is Sex and the City 2 with a total seven nominations - each of its Stars received a nomination for Worst Actress in a collective grouping.

Jennifer Aniston is a prime candidate for Worst Actress this year with two clunkers in The Bounty Hunter and The Switch. Many are wondering if she will follow in the example of Oscar/Razzie-double Winners Sandra Bullock and Halle Berry who actually attended the Ceremony to accept their Award.

MOVIE-GOERS GIVEN TOO MANY CHOICES THIS WEEKEND - THE EXPENDABLES DECIDEDLY ON-TOP AGAIN

Vampires Suck
Movie-goers scratched their heads over what to see this weekend with five films opening domestically. But one can never under-estimate the power of Testosterone as Lionsgate's The Expendables makes it two weeks on-top with $16.5 million, earning $64.9 million.

The Twilight Saga-parodying Vampires Suck from Fox has created a new market of fans in the same vein as the Scary Movie franchise. Opening on Wednesday, the film pulled in a surprising $12.2 million, placing it in second.

Eat Pray Love continues to perform consistently well in third spot with $12 million, earning $47.1 million. The film was made for $60 million and has yet to open overseas, where it is expected to perform well also as Julia Roberts does her promotional rounds.

Lottery Ticket, which I enjoyed, landed in third sport above all expectations, with $11.1 million. The film opened only in 1,973 theatres.

Piranha 3D, which was absolutely amazing, marks yet another weak opening for fumbling The Weinstein Co., which in recent memory had another major studio loss with the musical NINE. The horror-comedy debuts in sixth spot with $10 million. Luckily though, this one was made for $24 million and should earn it back in its Box Office run.

JENNIFER ANISTON AS BARBRA STREISAND ON SEPTEMBER ISSUE OF HARPER'S BAZAAR

Hell-to-the-Yeah and a what-what? Jennifer Aniston graces the cover on the September issue of Harper's Bazaar with photos by Mark Seliger and interview by Laura Brown. On the issue, Aniston pays homage to one of her greatest Idols, Barbra Streisand.

On finally meeting Streisand a few years ago at a New Year's Eve Party, Aniston recalled, "You know when you meet people you idolize and then you walk away from the conversation thinking, 'Well, that was a disappointment; they were kinder and more fabulous in my mind'? Well, she was wonderful, and you could talk to her about anything.... I happened to be talking to her and Jim [Streisand's husband, James Brolin] when it struck midnight. They said, 'Excuse us,' kissed each other, and then, very politely, kissed me."

Jen, I'm so with you - nothing like meeting someone you idolize and they brush you off. That's exactly how I felt when I met Renée Zellweger!!  Harsh like Sandpaper!

To read more from the interview, click here. The issue also has the girls from Jersey Shore on it in a glam photo shoot involving Spaghetti.

REVIEW: THE BOUNTY HUNTER

Contrary to some horrific reviews, Andy Tennant's The Bounty Hunter isn't all that bad.  Though the story has serious problems with implausibility, Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler's chemistry lights up the screen and then some, in this action/romantic comedy.

Butler plays Milo Boyd, an ex-cop who makes a "mistake" which we never really quite figure out, resulting in his divorce from wife Nicole Hurley (Aniston), a journalist.  Nicole is interested in a story about a police officer who suspiciously commits suicide, although she receives a tip-off from a reliable source Jimmy (Adam Rose), that it may in fact have been a murder.  This of course happens on the same day that she is scheduled to appear in court on a minor traffic offence, resulting in her skipping her own trial to get a lead on her story.  As a result, there is a warrant for Nicole's arrest and guess who gets hired to hunt her down?  You guessed it.

Milo tracks down Nicole in Atlantic City and what ensues is a "Battle of Exes" which involves Nicole constantly trying to escape and outwit Milo.  And believe me, they pull out all the stops including handcuffing each other to bedposts, making up stories of hot love affairs to make each other jealous and perhaps the lowest of lows, using a Taser Gun.  The journey isn't all-angry as the former couple take a trip down Memory Lane together, and why it is they truly broke up in the first place becomes confused.  Milo however, remains focused on getting his $5,000 reward for turning in Nicole, while she never loses sight of her need to escape from Milo, yet being drawn back to him time and again.  If only rekindling romance were that easy in real life....

KATE, SANDRA AND JENNIFER - REAL MEN

When things just aren't working out with your partner, look to these fine ladies as your inspiration.  Kate Winslet, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston handled/are handling their break-ups with dignity, poise and class.  Instead of beating a dead horse on a lost cause and embarrassing themselves publicly or via their PRs, they took/are taking time to focus on what's important.  Themselves.

I salute these ladies for handling their break-ups like "Real Men" would.  We could all learn a lesson or two from them.  Trust me - it's their loss, ladies.
