RICKY MARTIN ON THE SET OF "GLEE"

Ricky Martin on the set of Glee
How awesome is this? International Megastar Ricky Martin just wrapped his first day on the set of Glee and Tweeted the above Photo. The Singer is filming a Spanglish-themed episode which also will feature Gloria Estefan. The role of Spanish Teacher seems to be a recurring hotspot for Celebrities with Gwyneth Paltrow previously playing the role of Holly Holliday on the Series.

The Cast of the Show also got a little starstruck with Lea Michele Tweeting a Photo together with Martin, praising "He's seriously the sweetest and such a great fit for our show!". Michele has known Martin since she was eight years-old when they were both in Les Miserables together.

Cory Monteith took to Twitter expressing his excitement, "We have a new Spanish Teacher".

RICKY MARTIN SIZZLES WITH "MÚSICA + ALMA + SEXO" TOUR AT CASINO RAMA

Ricky Martin at Casino Rama - April 2011
The perfect physical specimen that is Ricky Martin sizzled the Stage at Casino Rama in Orillia this evening before a packed House, which thankfully was more genuine Fans than High Rollers.   Marketed as a Toronto stop-off in his Música + Alma + Sexo World Tour, it was a bit of a pity that Fans had to go to great lengths on a weeknight to see their favourite Latin Sexy Symbol.  And I'll tell you, the most frustrating thing about having to venture two hours Northwest of the City for a Concert  is seeing unappreciative Casino VIP Members get preferred seating and then wind-up leaving part-way through the Show.

Taking the stage shortly after 8:15 and delivering just-over 90 minutes of hip-shaking energy.  Hits like Vuelve, Livin' la Vida Loca, She Bangs, Shake Your Bon-Bon and Más were delivered to an enthused crowd which by the end of the Set, was on their feet.

Catering to the hearts of his Spanish-speaking Fans, much of the Show's second-half was performed in Martin's Mother Tongue, paying homage to his native Puerto Ricko Rico at one point.  "If you want a beautiful place to vacation, go to Puerto Rico!", he recommended to the crowd.

Cohesive, with a tightly-arranged eight-piece Band and always sexy, the Scandal factor was upped a few notches with Martin engaging in a series of suggestive Tableaus with both his Male and Female Dancers.  At one point he had handcuffed some of them, while letting others place their hands allover that ripped Torso of his.  Lucky Putas.

NEW MUSIC: RICKY MARTIN - THE BEST THING ABOUT ME IS YOU FT. JOSS STONE

Who ever said that "coming out" kills a career?  Ricky Martin is back and all eyes are on the singer as he preps the release of his first single since 2005, a duet titled, The Best Thing About Me is You ft. Joss Stone.  There is also a Spanish version of the track featuring Natalia Jimenez

Although the track isn't anything remarkable, Martin clearly knows who his target audience - the ladies - and has faith that they will be just as supportive as they once were on this number.

Martin will be appearing on tomorrow's episode of Oprah Winfrey and also The View on Wednesday discussing his experience since "coming out" and life with his twins Matteo and Valentino.

This new track will be released via RCA/Sony Music on his new album which is still untitled and without a set release date. Preview it in full below, courtesy of Sony Music (Flash Player required):

KYLIE STUNS AT amfAR INSPIRATION GALA

Kylie Minogue hosted The Inspiration Gala to benefit amfAR at New York City's The Public Library. The event was a celebration of Men's Style and the foundation was founded by celebrities including Elizabeth Taylor for AIDS awareness.  Among the guests in attendance last night were Ricky Martin, Kenneth Cole and Jean-Paul Gaultier, all pictured above.  And yes, that undisputedly sexy number she is pictured in above was designed by Gaultier himself who also oversaw designs for her recent Worldwide Tour. The event featured a special performance by Cyndi Lauper, who will be appearing at Toronto Pride early next month also.  (Photo credit: Associated Press)

RICKY MARTIN IS GAY. SURPRISE!

Congratulations to Ricky Martin, who officially "came out" today in a statement made on his official website.  This comes after years of speculation following an appearance on a Barbara Walters special in 2000 at the height of his career, where he refused to answer her questions about his sexuality.  Walters recently had expressed her regret about having done this, believing that it was her line of questioning that led to the fall of his popularity.

In his official statement he stated that "these years of silence and reflection made him stronger and reminded him that acceptance has to come from within.... he is proud to say that he is a fortunate homosexual man."

Although I am unsure where this is coming from and whether or not this is a last ditch attempt to revive his career, I must commend Martin for his honesty - even if it did come ten years late. It is undeniable that we live in a world where the concepts of homosexuality and same sex rights have gained notable attention and progress, but homophobia is still very prevalent in entertainment and the world we live in today.  Quite simply, I don't think the world is ready to hear an album of Ricky Martin songs where he is admiring about his lovers' package and firm chest.  Hell, I don't think I'm even ready for that and I consider myself pretty liberal.
