Rehearsals are well under way at MuchMusic for tomorrow night's 2012 Much Music Video Awards. Arriving shortly before 2:00 PM was the Belle of the Ball this year, Katy Perry, who just last night made a surprise appearance at the Pink Carpet Premiere of her Documentary, Part of Me 3-D. Showing off her new black and purple hair, Perry threw Fans a quick wave before rushing into the Venue.  It is said tomorrow night she'll be appearing out of a Cocoon and performing Wide Awake, her latest Single.

Katy Perry arrived in Toronto late last night wrapped in a Chanel Blanket and some lucky Fans were fortunate enough to score Autographs. Unhappy with the way she appeared at that hour, she apparently denied Photo Ops, but one Fan tells me she did promise to take many this weekend with Fans.  She was however, more than happy to sign Autographs by-the-plenty.

Perry’s reason for stay is the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday and while she’s at it, she’s synergizing by promoting her upcoming 3-D Tour Documentary, Part of Me for Paramount Pictures.

Sporting purple locks, Perry surprised a theatre full of Fans at tonight’s Scotiabank Theatre Advance Screening which was complete with a Pink Carpet. Mr. Will-W.:Pop Maven Friend and Reader Nicole was one of the few lucky Fans who scored a Snap with the International Pop Sensation!

She tells me that Fans were ecstatic upon her arrival and apparently at one point, one Heckler in the Audience was silenced by Perry after making noises every time she mentioned God or looked sexy on-screen. Perry managed to stay up until one part of the Documentary which delved into her split from Russell Brand.

The MuchMusic Video Awards air Sunday night 8:00 PM EST on MuchMusic and Perry’s Part of Me 3-D opens in theatres July 5, 2012.

KATY PERRY IN MAY 2012 ISSUE OF "TEEN VOGUE"

I actually will watch this! The lovely and gracious Katy Perry is set to release her 3-D Concert Movie Part of Me via Paramout Pictures and this Trailer promises to give us insight into her troubled rise to the Pop Top and maybe even dish a little on her broken Marriage to Russell Brand? "Thank you for embracing my weirdness" she tells a sold-out Arena near the end of this Trailer.

Perry also reveals to Teen Vogue intheir May 2012 Issue, that she at one point in-the-running for a small role in The Help, however the promotional schedule for her Disc Teenage Dream conflicted with filming.  How amaze would it have been to see her in that Oscar-nominated Film?  She also says that Madonna's Documentary Truth or Dare was the inspiration behind this upcoming Concert Movie.  Although fortunately Perry wasn't harassed by the Toronto Police like Madonna was for performing "lewd acts" on-stage.

Katy Perry: Part of Me 3-D opens July 5, 2012 on what will be a busy Memorial Day Weekend at the Box Office up against Oliver Stone Thriller Savages (John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Blake Lively, Taylor Kitsch) and The Amazing Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone).
