Independent production company Summertime Entertainment has confirmed the cast of an upcoming remake of classic The Wizard of Oz, which will be shot in 3-D. Starring in the plum role of Dorothy will be Glee's Lea Michele in what is sure to leave her mark in Hollywood as one of the greatest of her generation.
The cast is loaded with remarkable talent boasting the likes of Jim Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Kelsey Grammer, Hugh Dancy and Kristin Chenoweth. Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams will be writing new music for the film which is slated for a 2012 release. This has Oscar, SAG and Golden Globe written allover it.
