BETTY WHITE CONFIRMED AS SNL HOST

They've done it!  Saturday Night Live's Executive Producer Lorne Michaels has confirmed that after much Facebook campaigning, veteran actress Betty White will indeed be hosting its May 8, 2010 episode.  Timed perfectly for Mother's Day, this will be the 88 year-old actress' first time hosting the program.  Being known for her brilliant comedic acting, many fans were surprised that White had never been given an opportunity to host.

According to the recent recipient of the Screen Actors' Guild Lifetime Achievement Award, "my agent would've divorced me if I didn't do it!".  Being so loveable, I'm sure that would've gone down as the shortest divorce ever.

The episode will be extra special as former cast members: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph and Rachel Dratch, are all scheduled to make appearances as well.  NBC can expect record ratings for the episode. (Photo credit: Associated Press)

  1. Thank you for this info. I can't wait to see it!

Loved her growing up and she still proves to be a comedic genius as seen in everything she does from The Proposal to the Snickers commercial. This could be another SNL classic!
