Lady Gaga zip-lines her way to Good Morning America Concert

What an entrance! Lady Gaga kicked off ABC's Good Morning America Summer Concert Series earlier today at Central Park in New York City, performing a selection of hits for the Crowd which included some Fans who lined-up two days in advance to see her.  Gaga zip-lined her way to the stage from a cage, before breaking into a performance of Bad Romance, later telling Hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos that performing on Good Morning America is a "dream come true" for her.  

She revealed  being a true New Yorker, that she only grew-up five blocks from the site of the Concert, playing in the Fields of the Park much as a Child.  Commenting on her dramatic entrance, Gaga professed "I live half-way between Reality and Theatre at all times," before adding in her tagline "And I was Born this Way!".

RIHANNA PERFORMS "CALIFORNIA KING BED" ON "AMERICAN IDOL"

Yes! Rihanna put on one of her best performances yet on American Idol last night. Looking stunning and almost Mermaid-like in a dress and her rockin’ some big red waves in her hair, she proved not only that she is a much-improved Vocalist, but also that she has another potential number one Hit on her hands. California King Bed’s release comes hot on the trails of her just-released collaboration with Britney Spears, a Remix for S&M which already has reached number one on the iTunes Singles Chart – making it a likely candidate for number one also on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart next week.

VIDEO PREMIERE: JENNIFER LOPEZ FT. PITBULL - ON THE FLOOR

I've been championing this track since it leaked a couple months ago, but finally we got a proper Video for this. It appears this Edit of this RedOne-produced track seems to be a bit shorter and sparser than the perfect Album Version, which I'm not completely convinced was for the better. Nonetheless, J-Lo sizzles although I wish there was just a bit more of her and that scintillating Choreography.  Sending positive vibes out that this relaunches her Music career.  Love her!

SOFIA COPPOLA TWEETS NEW "MISS DIOR CHERIE" AD STARRING NATALIE PORTMAN

So gorgeous it hurts. Sofia Coppola, yes she has just joined Twitter, has Tweeted her latest Commercial for Christian Dior's Miss Dior Cherie Fragrance, starring an elegant and understated Natalie Portman.

Ahh, a world where people have nothing better to do than saunter about their high ceiling Living Rooms, waiting for their Lovers to come home and take baths in their Sunglasses....  Just six days until Portman is crowned the new Swan Queen Best Actress at the Oscars!  Will it be a Dior number?

VIDEO PREMIERE: BRITNEY SPEARS - HOLD IT AGAINST ME | DISCOGRAPHY GIVEAWAY

At long last we are graced with the arrival of Britney Spears' eagerly-awaited new Video for Billboard Hot 100 Chart-topper, Hold it Against Me. Entrenched deep within Director Jonas Åkerlund's futuristic Mecca somewhere in the year 2011, is a Princess-like Spears who is faced in a Death Match against her Alter-Ego.  After a grueling battle in Stilettos, resulting in Multi-colour Bloodbath, a darker, edgier Spears dances her way Triumph.  Perhaps this is somewhat metaphoric of a re-invention or a shedding of skin for Spears?

Filled to the brim with Product Endorsements, the Video is v. telling of where he Music Industry  is today in that simply, Record Companies don't have the budgets to foot the bills of Music Videos altogether as in the  flashy '90s. Hence, these Corporate partnerships surface by the plentiful: Make Up Forever, Sony, Spears' own latest fragrance Radiance and yes, even Plenty of Fish fight for their share of screen time here amidst all the Choreography and seductive gazes from Spears.  

And I like it.... for the most part.  Perhaps fewer Wide Shots and more focus on our Princess of Pop's expressions/reactions would have made this a bit more intense?  It felt a bit more distant than some of her best work, i.e. Toxic.

EXCLUSIVE ACADEMY AWARDS TV SPOT FOR "BIUTIFUL"

 Maple Pictures was wonderful enough to give us this exclusive Premiere of the Academy Awards Television Spot for Biutiful, which is now in theatres in Ottawa and Toronto. This Friday, the Film starring Oscar winner Javier Bardem, expands to Calgary, Montreal and Halifax and next Friday (February 25, 2011), the release widens also to Edmonton and Vancouver.

LADY GAGA ON "JAY LENO": CONFIRMS MADONNA'S SUPPORT

Lady Gaga appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, sporting her three Grammy Awards from Sunday night and in them, she placed some M&Ms for him to snack on.  She donned a shiny black mask which she took off after Leno began commenting on her controversial Meat Dress.

Gaga confirmed that she will be recording an HBO Special for her The Monster Ball Tour shortly as she gears up to tour. She will be in Toronto on March 3rd along with opening act Scissor Sisters.

On rumours that Madonna is displeased with Born this Way borrowing to much from her hit Express Yourself, Gaga confirmed that she had received an e-mail from the Queen of Pop and her Management wishing Gaga all the best with the Single. Gaga then went on to say, "What the Queen says will be, shall be". So that's that.

Great news! Grammy-winning British Siren Adele will be embarking on a North American Tour this Spring, her first since 2009. Now back with her second album 21, this Tour will be presented by Live Nation. Click here for a list of dates.  More will be added soon.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Adele live before and yes, she's just as good live as on the Recording, which despite sounding easy to do, isn't always the case with many Artists.  Check out this Video I got of her doing a stunning rendition of Bob Dylan's To Make You Feel My Love she performed at Massey Hall from her last Tour.

Rihanna unleashed her new Video for latest Single S&M at 3:00 AM EST today and you can watch it now in full. Watch the sexy Singer give a Press Conference from behind some Plastic Wrap to some Reporters - some eager, some not so eager to learn from Mistress RiRi.

Vibrant like the colour treatment in her Only Girl (in the World) Video, Director Melina Matsoukas helmed the Clip marking the second time she has collaborated with Rihanna. Matsoukas also directed the Video for her U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number one hit Rude Boy.

THE CAST OF "PRETTY LITTLE LIARS" IN TORONTO PART TWO - PICS & VIDEO

The Cast of ABC Family's Pretty Little Girls have officially taken over Toronto today and despite some initial setbacks due to a canceled New York City flight, our v. own Shay Mitchell made it into her Hometown midday.

Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale visited CTV's The Marilyn Denis Show earlier today, followed by a visit to CP24 and a taping of eTalk. The duo were joined by Co-stars Troian Belissario and Mitchell afterward, having Lunch on Queen St. before heading back to MuchMusic Headquarters where they greeted hoards of Fans inside and outside the Studio, on staple program New.Music.Live.  Pretty Little Liars airs currently Monday nights on MuchMusic at 8:00 PM EST.

Following a busy day of Press, the Girls headed back to their Hotel, carrying heaps of Shopping Bags, including goodies from popular retailer Aritzia which gifted the Girls generously with merchandise. Although, Benson and Hale were in a hurry to head back to their rooms, Belissario and Mitchell came out to greet Fans, taking Photos and signing Autographs.

After de-compressing for a bit, the Girls got ready to head out to Dinner, with Benson and Hale greeting Fans from their GMC.  A few Autograph Hounds waiting on Basketball Players shouted to Benson, "Nobody cares, Ashley!" and playfully she and Hale both responded with looks of shock before rolling up their windows.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER IN TORONTO - PICS & VIDEO

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Toronto

Action Star-turned-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger arrived in the wee hours of the morning in Toronto at the historic Royal York Hotel, as part of his Canadian Tour which as so far seen stop-offs in Winnipeg and Calgary.

Schwarzenegger left the Hotel shortly after 11:00 AM with several Security Guards in tow before heading off to speak today at the Metro Convention Centre where some paid up to $900 CAN to hear him speak about his inspiring life journey. He gave an impromptu interview from us Escalade with Global Television and CHCH, before signing a few Autographs which he has been known in the past to do when the Cameras are on.

If today's Conference can be summed in two important tips, these would be "Don't be afraid to fail. You are a girlie-man if you are afraid of failure" and also "Work like hell" according to Schwarzenegger. Fair enough.

Audience members today included Rock Legend Gene Simmons of Kiss who is town for business reasons including a speaking engagement which took place at Sony Centre last night.  Schwarzenegger was spotted at a near-by Canadian Chain Second Cup grabbing a Coffee after his engagement today and is set to head to Montreal for his next stop-off.

VIDEO PREMIERE: AVRIL LAVIGNE - WHAT THE HELL

At last! The Video for Avril Lavigne's new single What the Hell has premiered and ABC Family got the exclusive, streaming it on their website right after their broadcast of Mean Girls 2.  Yes, I know - why did they even bother trying to follow-up on a Classic?  

Lavigne's Goodbye Lullaby is in stores March 8, 2011 and the Canadian Bad Girl just arrived in Tokyo this weekend to promote the Disc.  And get this, apparently she was totally sweet to Fans at her Hotel, signing Autographs and promising Photos with them as soon as she put on some Make-up, according to our dear Friend MiT.

What the Hell has peaked in Canada at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and similarly has done well reaching number 13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.  Go, Avril!  I'm totally contemplating getting tickets to her just-announced 2011 Tour.
