DEMI LOVATO & BRITNEY SPEARS JOIN "THE X FACTOR"

Most amazing news! Demi Lovato and Britney Spears have inked deals to star on FOX's The X Factor. The Rolls Royce of Reality TV!

Spears' rumoured $15-million deal comes as no surprise after months of speculation that she would be appearing as a Judge on the Series. Lovato reportedly inked a $1-million deal and will proceed with judging duties following her Summer Tour.

Creator and Judge Simon Cowell could not be more pleased about all the publicity the Singing Reality TV Series has received, especially after yesterday's unveiling at the FOX Upfronts in New York City. He tells TMZ, last night that despite some concerns about Spears' well-being, Cowell is not in the least bit worried as either way he wins in terms of ratings should the Megastar act-up.

DEMI LOVATO CALLS-OUT DISNEY ON EATING DISORDERS

Demi Lovato is not pleased. The Singer/Actress who formerly starred on Disney's Sonny with a Chance, Tweeted her displeasure with her former Employer after catching an episode of their popular Series, Shake it Up starring next-generation Teen Queens, Bella Thorne and Zendaya.

The Episode in question features a Supermodel Character who tells Cece (Thorne) and Rocky (Zendaya), "I could just eat you up, well if I ate", a line intended to be a joke.  After seeing this, Lovato took to Twitter, stating "I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress' from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about.".  

As we may recall, Lovato had prior undergone treatment for among other issues, Bulimia at Timberline Knolls Residential Center in Illinois, completing her treatment in January 2011.

Disney's Public Relations Team however took action quickly, replying to Lovato, "We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them... It’s NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!".   Now that's more like it - it's good to see that Lovato really is using the power of her Celebrity to make a difference, even if it means taking a stand against the hand that feeds.

Is this however, simply just a statement about Eating Disorders or is this on a deeper level, her sticking-it to her former Employer?

The gorgeous Actress/Songstress was up and at 'em before Daybreak today doing her first round of interviews at KISS FM 92.5 and CHFI FM 98.1, nailing two separate demographics in one visit with her ecclectic new Disc, Unbroken.

Sporting a thin white Cardigan with Crosses over an LL Cool J T-shirt, Lovato had her signature Curls back today, changing-it-up from her straightened Locks earlier this week flying in from Los Angeles. Love the Nose Ring!

Fans who queued as early as 6:00AM were rewarded handsomely with Photos and Autographs on her way out as she headed off to CHUM FM 104.5 with her two-SUV Entourage. Lovato today had travelled with her Assistant, Publicist from Universal Music Canada and a Videographer who was capturing the moment.

The beauty and multi-faceted talents of Demi Lovato have arrived in Toronto direct from Los Angeles, where she swears she spotted a UFO a few days ago on Twitter.  Lovato is in-town to promote her fantastic third Disc Unbroken from Universal Music Canada.  The Disc which was released late September, had debuted in the Top Five both north and south of the Border, following her first-ever Top Ten placing on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart with phenomenal single, Skyscraper.

Lovato upon arriving in Toronto looked somewhat unrecognizable in her newly-styled locks, but upon spotting that necklace of hers which read "Demi", there was no mistaking that we were in the presence of Pop Greatness.  And wouldn't you agree that she's just glowing?  Despite being rushed-off by her Handlers, she still took time to take Photos and sign Autographs, while walking towards her SUV at once - an impressive display of multitasking.

During her stay, she will be doing a few Radio stop-offs, plus a visit to MuchMusic's New.Music.Live for one full hour on Thursday at 5:00 PM EST. Don't miss your chance to catch a glimpse!

DEMI LOVATO IN STUDIO WITH TIMBALAND AND MISSY ELLIOTT

She's definitely giving it her all!  I cannot tell you how excited I am for this new Demi Lovato album, due September 20, 2011 via Universal Music.  You probably already know how much I love first Single Skyscraper which debuted at number ten on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart based on sales of 176k copies in its first week.  It appears though that despite that track being more Pop-Rock, much of this third Disc will be on the Urban side.

Lovato was just in Miami for a few days laying down some tracks with Super-Producer Timbaland and even Grammy-winning Missy Elliott has been lending a hand too, as per Lovato's Twitter.  The 18 year-old Songstress Tweets, "Listening to so much talent in this studio right now.. Honored to be here! 5:30 am still goin' strong! #WERK!".

SELENA GOMEZ & THE SCENE: WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN - ALBUM REVIEW

Selena Gomez really is coming into her own as a Pop Star. Despite considerable skepticism on my part, I finally gave her third Disc When the Sun Goes Down a whirl and even with my critical guard up, I found myself unable to resist the feel-good vibes the 19 year-old Disney star was emanating in this twelve-track collection of songs.

Current single Love You Like a Love Song cannot be denied. From the same team which brought us Miley Cyrus' See You Again (Rock Mafia), this track's throbbing bassline and a lovelorn moodiness are unforgettable. True to its lyrics, I too "keep hitting re-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat". The production trio also contribute the melancholy gem My Dilemma on the Disc. 

Toby Gad who has had a hand on tracks like Big Girls Don't Cry (Fergie) and If I Were a Boy (Beyonce), delivers us a bit of Electro-fun on La Roux-esque romp Bang Bang Bang. He also oversees a collaboration with UK talent Pixie Lott titled We Own the Night, which easily could be a track off a P!nk album.

Damn! Nobody told me that Demi Lovato had it goin' on like that! The Internet is all abuzz with praise for the Disney star's heartbreaking new Single Skyscraper which she herself has called "a plea for help", recorded before she underwent treatment for her Eating Disorder and Self-Mutilation.  "Go on and try to tear me down/I will be rising from the ground/Like a Skyscraper", the 18 year-old sings.  A bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts, yes?

I'd put this one right up there with Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway or Katy Perry's Firework.  Yes, it's that good. Composed by a Team of: Toby Gad, Lindy Robbins and Kerli, this Track actually makes me really excited to hear more off her third album.  Maybe I need to re-examine some of her older Catalogue now?
