CARRIE UNDERWOOD IN TORONTO FOR "BLOWN AWAY"

Carrie Underwood in Toronto - May 2012
Arriving Tuesday night from Nashville with Hockey Star Husband Mike Fisher, Country-Pop Queen Carrie Underwood arrived for the Canadian leg of her Promo Tour for latest Disc, Blown Away. The Album already has spent two weeks at number on the U.S. Billboard Hot 200 Album Chart.

Remaining low-key, opting for underground entrances and exits in and out of her Hotel, the former American Idol Season Four Winner in her two days in Toronto has appeared at most major Outlets, doing a number of pre-taped and live-to-air Interviews. Appearances have included visits to CTV's Canada AM, The Marilyn Denis Show and eTalk, YTV's The Zone, CBC's Q Radio, Global Television's Entertainment Tonight Canada, CHFI 98.1, CHUM 104.5 and more.

In addition to Work, Underwood has Quality Time with Family on her Agenda during her stay before her scheduled Performance on this weekend's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Last night, Husband Fisher was spotted enjoying the New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays Game at Rogers Centre, while the Singer spent a quiet night-in relaxing after a long day.

I caught-up with Underwood leaving the Bell Media Building earlier today buried two rows back in her Suburban, signing a few Autographs for Fans who waited all morning for her patiently. The frenzy was sparked as the window of her Vehicle was rolled down. "Can you take a Picture with a little Carrie Underwood Fan?", one Mom asked while urging her young Daughter forward - which wasn't happening. Unfortunately, I had no luck getting my copy of Some Hearts signed after Autographs got curtailed quickly with complaints of the situation becoming too aggressive on the part of others.

In the meantime, check out Underwood's latest Single, Good Girl which already has peaked at number 21 on the Canadian Hot 100:

TRAIN, CARLY RAE JEPSEN, MARIANAS TRENCH, VICTORIA DUFFIELD & MORE AT 2012 CHUM FM FANFEST

2012 CHUM FM FANFEST: Train, Fefe Dobson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Marianas Trench and more
One part of Canadian Music Week I look forward to most every year is the Line-up at 104.5 CHUM FM's Fanfest and once again this year they did not disappoint, bringing-in three-time GRAMMY Winners Train as the Headliner.  The Trio performed a generous Set which included Hits Hey, Soul Sister, Drops of Jupiter and their latest, Drive By and apparently a bra may have been tossed on-stage at one point!  A Tribute to Journey was even thrown-in for good measure!

Others to grace the stage at Masonic Temple this evening included super-hot Carly Rae Jepsen (recently signed to Interscope Records in the U.S.) who unfortunately couldn't stop for many Photos on her way in and out of the Venue, Marianas Trench, Fefe Dobson (filling-in for Hedley whom had issues flying to Toronto), The New Cities, Victoria Duffield (!!) and more.

After the four-hour-long Show, some patient Fans got to meet their Idols (some sober, some tipsy) outside the Venue and Train Lead Vocalist Pat Monahan was most gracious stopping to take Photos with hoards of female Fans, despite some of his Handlers trying to curtail it.  Meanwhile Duffield was low-key avoiding the radar of Fans who waited all night for her.  Rock Diva Suzie McNeil was spotted supporting her Pal Josh Ramsay, Frontman of Marianas Trench.  After exchanging hugs, she tells me "My Album will be released at some point...", commenting on when we can expect new Music from her.

Until next year...

JORDAN KNIGHT, JOEY MCINTYRE & MARIO CANTONE AT "CHUM FM CHRISTMAS WISH BREAKFAST"

Joey McIntyre & Mario Cantone  in Toronto - December 2011
The Fun was in full-force bright and early today at Toronto's Masonic Temple for the annual CHUM FM Christmas Wish Breakfast. The Event is in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish Campaign which together with Toronto Social Services, supports over 300,000 people who need Toys and Financial Aid over the Holidays.

Fans arrived at the Venue as early as 5:30 AM to see performances from Toronto's v. own LIGHTS and New Kids on the Block Hearththrobs Jordan Knight and Joey McIntyre, flying in to perform Peace on Earth three hours into the Show.  Super-funny Sex and the City Star Mario Cantone (a Friend of McIntyre) also made an appearance singing Baby It's Cold Outside on-stage together before hoards of devoted, screaming Ladies.

Although the Gentlemen were in a rush following the Show, they came outside to give out some Hi-fives and Handshakes to Fans.  "Sorry it was so short today!", Knight apologized on his way out. Cantone was super-nice to pose for a quick Snap.

NATALIA KILLS IN TORONTO FOR CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK

Natalia Kills & Mr. Will-W.
Natalia Kills just won herself some new Fans.  And this is why I love her!  The British Singer/Songwriter just arrived in Toronto, her second visit this year already, for Canadian Music Week Kills made an appearance at Masonic Temple for CHUM-FM's Fanfest this evening, performing a short set for many Fans excited to see among others, Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block fame.

Kills exited the venue shortly after 11:00 PM and came out onto the street to greet Fans.  Instantly both her Manager and she had remembered me from the last time we met.  Admitting that she was "freezing her ass off", she still patiently signed Autographs and took Photos before - get this - performing an impromptu Acapella Medley of her more well-known numbers Mirrors and Wonderland from upcoming debut Disc, Perfectionist.

Her Manager dropped a hint to me that she will be back in Toronto again v. soon to tour with some of her label mates like Far East Movement, Mohombi and LMFAO possibly, confirming that her album likely will be in-stores come May as it will be getting a European release first in April.  How exciting!

Definitely continue keep a lookout for her, she is a name to look out for in 2011.  Follow Natalia Kills on Twitter here.

JORDAN KNIGHT IN TORONTO FOR CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK

Jordan Knight leaving Masonic Temple - March 2011
New Kids on the Block member Jordan Knight is currently in Toronto on a Canadian Music Week media blitz promoting new single Let's Go Higher and his forthcoming Album due later this year. Knight has done interviews by the many during his stay in the City for outlets like PROUD-FM, KISS 92.5, CHUM-FM, CTV's eTalk and The Marilyn Denis Show, among many others. One right after the other.

Knight did a showcase tonight at CHUM FM's Fanfest, held at the Masonic Temple where about 20 or so female Fans awaited his exit from the venue just before midnight in the cold. Teasing them slightly, he poked his head out the door by Fans calling out his name. Finally when he left the venue, he made it clear to Fans: "I can't stop Guys", gesturing with his hands "no" multiple times.

Of course, Fans were disappointed they couldn't get a Photo together with their Idol and one of his Handlers was nice enough even to collect Photos for him to sign in his vehicle,  which Knight refused, handing them back unsigned.

Knight is scheduled to leave Toronto tomorrow and really should be a little more Fan-friendly, don't you think?  It was a Fanfest after all, no?

You can follow Knight on Twitter here.

CEE LO GREEN PROMOTES "THE LADY KILLER" IN TORONTO

Cee Lo Green & Mr. Will-W.
Atlanta native Cee Lo Green Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, has seen many incarnations already in his career, but now only is he reaping the rewards of his perseverance. Originally a part of the Hip Hop group Goodie Mob, those who have been paying attention have seen him transform into the Lead Vocalist of Duo Gnarls Barkley, which saw some success back in 2006 on both sides of the Atlantic with hit Crazy. To clarify, the Duo has not yet disbanded according to Green and they plan to release more material together.  A Goodie Mob reunion album is also in the works. Now in the spotlight on his own, all eyes are on the spirited Vocalist with a voice so remarkable that few needed an introduction when he resurfaced again late Summer, when the likes of Perez Hilton already were claiming infectious single Fuck You! one the year's best.

Green, currently promoting his new album The Lady Killer, released last Tuesday. The album is onto its second single It's OK, similarly feel-good Motown, now after having spawned the aforementioned Viral hit, which of course depending where in the world is known also as F**K You!, FU or more commonly, Forget You. Certifiably a Radio Hit, peaking at number 17 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and even better in other parts, the track and album continue to be lauded by Celebrities and Tastemakers alike. As we all know, the album's first single received the Glee Makeover on last week's episode The Substitute featuring Gwyneth Paltrow. But furthermore, even Glee's Lea Michele and Chuck Actor Zachary Levi have taken to Twitter in praising Green; both cannot stop listening.
