BILL SKARSGÅRD IN TORONTO FOR "HEMLOCK GROVE"

Just when you thought you knew the Skarsgårds, now comes the latest in a Family of brilliant Actors - Bill. Although he's already established himself in Sweden as one to look-out for, the 23-year-old Brother of Alexander (True Blood) and Son of Stellan (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Avengers) is now making a name for himself in these parts. He can be seen in this November's Romantic-Drama Anna Karenina, starring Keira Knightley, Jude Law and Aaron Johnson, which looks every bit like Oscar Bait... and possibly a TIFF 2012 Candidate?

Skarsgård currently is in Toronto working on Eli Roth's latest Netflix Horror Series, Hemlock Grove, starring the likes of Famke Janssen and Dougray Scott. The Series films until December in the City, although he appears simultaneously to be working also on a Norwegian Project titled Victoria.

The handsome Actor who bears an unmistakable resemblance (the eyes!) to his Brother and Father, was spotted out and about doing a Grocery run earlier, stocking-up for a week of work on Hemlock Grove, which last week had its Cast and Crew all the way out in Port Perry.  

Definitely one to keep a tab on.

MOVIE REVIEW - FRANKIE AND ALICE

Despite showing lots of promise, it doesn't appear Frankie and Alice ever got the proper push, running out of steam this Awards season. Centered around Frankie (Berry), the Story centers around an Exotic Dancer who inexplicably suffers a fit of rage one night. Arrested, she is then admitted to the Hospital by a Psychiatrist, Dr. Oz (Stellan Skarsgård), not to be confused with the one seen on Daytime Television.

In observing Frankie, Dr. Oz witnesses dramatic shifts in her personality but realizes this might be much more complex than it appears at first. These different personalities have different backgrounds and have an awareness of one another with varying levels of IQ. Oz finally diagnoses her with Dissociative Disorder, but will he manage to convince Frankie (and the fragments of her) to remain under his care before she is sabotaged by one of her more overbearing and toxic personalities? We are given pieces of the Puzzle in carefully administered doses before coming to understand how it is that Frankie has reached this point in her life.
