GEENA DAVIS & SUSAN SARANDON REUNITE FOR 20TH ANNVERSARY OF "THELMA & LOUISE"

Nominated for six Oscars,  Sir Ridley Scott's Thelma & Louise is known as one of the greatest Feminist Films of our time. Its story follows two Women on-the-run after murdering a Rapist and is also known as Mega-star Brad Pitt's first Breakout Role in Hollywood.

Originally released in 1991, Thelma & Louise is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in Toronto with an exclusive Screening earlier this evening for TIFF Members and a Gala tomorrow at Roy Thomson Hall. Both Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, who in 1992 were nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, flew into Toronto for the festivities and do they ever look amazing!

Davis, who filmed The Fly in Toronto back in 1986, made a rare visit to the City after having been busy in recent years lending her name to charitable causes such as fighting Gender Discrimination. Sarandon however has had reason to visit with some of her recent work including Solitary Man and Middle of Nowhere screening in recent years at TIFF.

Although Davis was Camera-shy in declining to be photographed with Fans, Sarandon obliged to Fan requests for Photos; both were generous with Autographs.  Following a quick introduction to this evening's Screening, the Duo headed to Luma in the TIFF Bell Lightbox for Dinner as their Driver stood on-call.

MICHAEL FASSBENDER, CHARLIZE THERON AND NOOMI RAPACE MOVIE "PROMETHEUS" FILMING IN TORONTO

Sneaky sneaky. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Sir Ridley Scott has actually already begun Production for his latest Film Prometheus in Toronto based upon the mythological Story of a Man who stole fire from the god Zeus and as a result is punished by torture, making an Eagle eat his liver daily only for it to keep growing back. Plot details are under lock and key.  Did you know?  I didn't know.

The Film will star handsome Irish Actor Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds, Hunger), Oscar-winning Charlize Theron and hotly-tipped Swedish Actress Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). Filming is taking place at new-improved Pinewood Studios over the next three weeks, where the upcoming Total Recall Film starring Colin Farrell will also be done.

UPDATE: I have reached-out to Pinewood Studios in Toronto and they have confirmed that the above is in fact only a rumour.  A Studio Representative replied, "Yes, we saw that (The Hollywood Reporter's post). It’s completely false. We have no idea where they got that info from… But it certainly wasn’t us.".  So there you have it - sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Mavenati!
