There is no hotter name in Urban Music than Nicki Minaj right now. The Trinidad-born, New Yorker was discovered by Grammy winner Lil Wayne and even before her first album, she was featured on collaborations with the likes of Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, Jay-Z and Usher.

All eyes now are on Minaj as she is set to release her debut album Pink Friday. Her track Your Love made her the first female Artist since 2003 to reach the top of the Billboard Rap Singles Chart. Follow-up single Check it Out (ft. will.i.am) samples The Buggles’ massive 1979 hit Video Killed the Radio Star and in Canada it already has peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 Chart.

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday will be released through Universal Music in Canada and hits stores November 23, 2010. The album features collaborations with Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West and Natasha Bedingfield.
