"THE KING'S SPEECH" SETS BOX OFFICE RECORD IN LIMITED RELEASE

Congratulations to The Weinstein Co. as they've been long overdue for a hit for a while.   And it looks like they already have the favourite for Best Picture at the 2011 Oscars with The King's Speech which opened in limited release this weekend.  The Film set a Box Office record with an average gross per theatre of $87,500 and $350,000 from just four theatres this weekend. 

Tom Hooper's The King's Speech will open in theatres in wide release December 10, 2010.
