"THINK LIKE A MAN" LEAVES LITTLE TO PONDER: KNOCKS "THE HUNGER GAMES" FROM TOP OF BOX OFFICE

Still from Think Like a Man
Exceeding all expectations this weekend is Sony Screen Gems' Think Like a Man, a Rom-Com featuring predominantly a black Cast including Chris Brown, Gabrielle Union, Taraji P. Henson, Wendy Williams, Sherri Shepherd and more. The Film makes a stellar debut at number one with $33.3 million from only 2,015 theatres, knocking four-week Champ The Hunger Games out of the Top Spot.

Debuting in second is Warner Bros.' The Lucky One, the latest Film Adaptation from bestselling Author Nicholas Sparks.  Starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling, the Romance/Drama pulled-in $22.8 million from 3,155 theatres, despite overall negative reviews (21% on Rotten Tomatoes).

The Hunger Games slips to third spot this weekend with $14.9 million, now earning over $355 million domestically, landing just ahead of Disney's Chimpanzee which opens strongly  in fourth, only at 1,563 theatres to the tune of $10.5 million.

The Three Stooges slips to fifth spot this weekend in its second week, with $10.1 million while The Cabin in the Woods earns $8.2 million in sixth spot with some stellar reviews (91% on Rotten Tomatoes).

Mirror Mirror rounds out the Top Ten with $4.4 million in its fourth week of release, now earning a total of $54 million domestically.  Overseas, Battleship continues to be a Monster, now surpassing the $100 million mark over there.  It is set to debut in North America next month.

"THE HUNGER GAMES" GOES FOUR-FOR-FOUR

Still from The Three Stooges
For the fourth straight week Lionsgate's The Hunger Games tops the Box Office with $21.7 million, holding-off a stiff challenge from 20th Century Fox's The Three Stooges, which opens a solid second with $17.1 million from 3,477 theatres. Domestically, the former has now made $335 million domestically.

Meanwhile another Lionsgate release debuts in the Top Three as The Cabin in the Woods opens in third spot with $15.1 million. The Sci-Fi/Horror finally sees a release after several delays due to shifts in administration after the Film originally was to be released by MGM. Reviews are stellar however, with it achieving a rare score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

In its second week, American Reunion slips to fourth spot this weekend after a number two debut. It earns $10.6 million, bringing its tally now to $39 million.

Snow White Family Comedy Mirror Mirror slips to sixth spot with $7.2 million, while Sony Pictures' 21 Jump Street continues to fare respectably, slipping to eight spot in its fifth week with $6.8 million - now earning a cumulative total of $120 million in North America. FilmDistrict's Lockout starring Guy Pearce, opens in ninth spot with $6.4 million from 2,308 theatres.

Former Champion Dr. Seuss' The Lorax rounds out the Top Ten with $3 million in its seventh week of release.

"AMERICAN REUNION" GIVES "THE HUNGER GAMES" SOME "STIFFLER" COMPETITION

Still from American Reunion
Now, it would be a surprise if it wasn't number one again this weekend The Hunger Games makes it three weekends in-a-row on-top, taking-in $33.5 million over the Easter/Passover Holiday for Lionsgate/Alliance Films in North America. To date it already has reached monster numbers surpassing the $400 million mark internationally.

Although it gave the Box Office Champion some "Stiffler" competition, American Pie Reunion, the latest in the raunchy Teen-turned-Adult Comedy Franchise, opens to an impressive $21.5 million opening from 3,192 theatres bringing back most of its original Stars even if for just a quick Cameo. Released under Universal Pictures, this installment promises even more darling humour including a full-frontal nude scene with its Star Jason Biggs, who along with Seann William Scott, serves as Producer on the Film. As a comparison, its Predecessor American Wedding pulled-in $33 million in its debut back in 2003, while 2001's American Pie 2 garnered the Franchise's biggest numbers with a $45 million opening. Of course, we're ignoring the forgettable Direct-to-Video Films in the Series, without many of the original Cast.

Titanic 3-D also fares decently in third spot for Paramount Pictures, bringing-in a total $17.3 million, proving that this recent wave of enhanced re-releases are indeed profitable for studios. On a personal level though, I still see it as a cash grab and would rather see that money being invested in giving new talent a chance to be seen - just not on Films like The Devil Inside.

Wrath of the Titans slips to fourth spot this weekend after a number two debut with $15 million, ahead of Mirror Mirror, one of the fewer Family-oriented options available this long weekend, with $11 million.

Most of the action in terms of Ticket Sales was in the top half of the Top Ten, with Safe House, a former number one Film, tallying $581k this weekend.  To date in North America it has earned $124 million in its nine weeks of release.

"THE HUNGER GAMES" EN ROUTE TO $250-MILLION MARK IN SECOND WEEK

Still from The Hunger Games
Huge weekend at the Box Office with the Top Three alone earning over $100 million!  A majority of that however goes to The Hunger Games, which is two-for-two in its second week of release, now en route to surpassing the $250-million mark.  The Action-Fantasy which is winning the hearts of Moviegoers internationally, earned $61 million this weekend from 4,137 theatres.

Warner Bros. opens big this weekend also with Wrath of the Titans 3-D, a Sequel in their Clash of the Titans Series starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes, earning an impressive $34 million in its debut despite overall receiving negative reviews at 29% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Mirror Mirror also debuts solidly with $20 million on this busy weekend.  Starring Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer and Lily Collins, the Snow White Adaptation garnered mixed reviews (49% on Rotten Tomatoes), opening in 3,603 theatres for Relativity Media/Alliance Films.

In its third week, former Box Office Champion 21 Jump Street, slips to fourth spot with $16 million, just ahead of another former number one Film, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax in fifth with $8 million.

The excellent Salmon Fishing in the Yemen opens in seventh this weekend with $1.7 million from just 483 theatres, while Project X rounds-out the Top Ten with $950k, earning a total $53.5 million in its five-week run.

"MIRROR MIRROR" - MOVIE REVIEW

Still from Mirror Mirror
Mirror Mirror knows exactly what it is, but did the Public and Media know that when they started pitting it against "that other Snow White Movie" which hits theatres this June?  Retelling the classic Brothers Grimm Fairy Tale and taking a few comedic liberties with it, Director Tarsem Singh (The Immortals, The Cell) has a bit of fun with it all and so should you.

The Comedy is told from the perspective of The Evil Queen (Julia Roberts) who controls an impoverished Kingdom, while at once  obsessively being aware of her own vanity and age, driving her at all costs to ensure that she remains fairest of all.  Threatened by porcelain-skinned Beauty Snow White (Lily Collins), the  stakes are increased significantly after the 18-year-old attracts the attention of handsome Prince Alcott (Armie Hammer) whom The Evil Queen also has her eyes set-on as a potential Husband; a Marriage between herself and Prince Alcott would bring her riches, saving her destitute Kingdom also.

Brighton (Nathan Lane) - The Queen's Assistant - is assigned the task of murdering Snow White and after failing to do so, she escapes into the Forest where she is taken-in by a team of seven pint-sized Rebels who trainer her to become The Evil Queen's most powerful Opponent yet.  Will The Evil Queen prevail in ridding-of Snow White and who will Prince Alcott once again cross paths with Snow White, his true love, after she goes missing?

FIRST TRAILER: "MIRROR, MIRROR"

Still from Mirror, Mirror
Okay, first thing's first. What is going on with Julia Roberts' Accent here? After seeing the much darker Trailer for Snow White and The Huntsman, Tarsem Singh presents this much lighter and Comical take of the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tale, Mirror, Mirror

Although a bushy-eyebrowed Lily Collins takes on the starring role of Snow White, this really is all about The Evil Queen played by Roberts.  And after seeing handsome (at one point shirtless!) Armie Hammer in a couple of more intense Films, The Social Network and J. Edgar back-to-back, we now get to see some Comedic Chops from him.

The Trailer premiered earlier today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and now it's here for all of us to enjoy online!
